RRA in his new workout uni

So if he makes it to the NFL does he say Ray Ray Armstrong The U or does he say Ray Ray Armstrong Faulkner University?

i ask myself this same question....was he close to graduating, was he close to his degree... yes i know he was a senior but...

I had to laugh when they said he'd have to go through the NAIA clearing process. In NAIA there is only one rule, there are no rules.

It's going to be funny watching Ray Ray get drafter higher than every Senior (or Junior) on this team, in the next NFL Draft.

Yeah, clearly he's the last person laughing out of all of this. I'm sure when he decided to come to Miami to play football he was really thinking he can't wait to get to Faulkner.

Here are pics of the Faulkner stadium and UVA Wise if anyone is interested...defintely high school looking.

Not that it's a big deal--but UVAW's field got new Astroturf GameDay 3D turf installed last year. It looks really good for a smaller school's field. All that aside though, by the standards that a guy like Ray Ray would be used to--it will be like playing in a matchbox.

However, if you go just an hour and a half away into Johnson City, TN...you have Science Hill HS's field (named after Steve Spurrier), and it is MUCH nicer than UVAW's field and has more seats. That place is so nice, that's where Tennessee is doing their Fall camp this year.

I never thought my local knowledge would tie into BCS level football, so bear with me if I'm giving too many tidbits.

Why do all the newbies come here trying to impress us?

Yeah he is going to be the last person laughing after this season is over. He's probably going to be a late 1st round pick based on how he performs at the NFL combine. Darius Smith and Seantrel Henderson are probably the only upperclassmen on this team who could possibly get drafted in that range, but they would have to step up big time this season to do so.

By comparison, Vaughn Telemaque getting drafted in the 4th round is a long shot at best.

How much you want to bet Ray Ray isn't drafted in the first round?

Well I already based him getting drafted in the 1st round on how he performs at the NFL combine.... but if he does well at the combine, than I would be willing to take you up on that bet.

- Whether you like him or not, the fact is Ray Ray was our best playmaker on this team at the DB position. His first 2 years as an UNDERCLASSMEN he made plays for our defense, receiving All ACC honors b/c of it.

- His Junior year was a complete wash... He couldn't get comfortable learning a NEW defense b/c he was suspended for half the year. Than he was thrown into the fire, his first game back against V. Tech @ Blacksburg. Anybody would've struggled under those circumstances. Right after that suspended for no reason again, for the FSU game. We probably would've have won that game if he was allowed to play.

- We will never get a chance to see what a UPPERCLASSMEN version of Ray Ray would look like on the field, to be able to judge him on an even scale w/ everybody else.

Ray Ray will never be drafted in the first round. I heard the same thing about Brandon Harris, Lamar Miller, possibly Tommy Streeter, etc. Throw in his questionable personality traits and no way an NFL franchise takes a chance and pays him first round money. We'll revisit this bet around the draft so I can say I told you so.

- Well Brandon Harris barely missed the 1st round.... and i'm sure his performance at the NFL combine was the reason why.

- I knew that Lamar Miller wasn't going to be a 1st round pick based off the 9 TD season he had as a starter.

- Streeter could've been a 1st round pick if he would've stayed... There was NO way anybody could honestly believe he was going to be a 1st round pick with only 1 year of film on him.

Even if Ray Ray doesn't get drafted in the 1st round, he definitely isn't slipping past the second round. But I believe if he has a good NFL combine, than he will be a 1st round pick. He doesn't have questionable personality traits either, he never failed a drug test or has gotten arrested like other players who've gotten kicked off a football team. He just a scapegoat, by the administration... they obviously just didn't want anybody on the team connected to the Shapiro investigation.

Now that would be impressive, since that was already done and there is no TV for you to steal.

The NAIA National Championship Game is played in a high school football stadium, thats how small it is. It is usually between 2 teams from the Dakotas.

Mid-States division is the best in NAIA, teams from IL, IA, IND, MI. They have 7 of the top 18 preseason team.

My only concern is how it will reflect on Miami if he doesn't set the record for tackles and interceptions in a season.

His stats will definitely tell everyone he wasn't UM material! May not be NAIA material either. I hope he keeps his ego in check!

He appears to be simultaneously out of position and taking a wrong angle.
