It's not the HC's fault that they are choosing to make a vertical career move. If anything it's the NCAA's fault that they refuse to revise their transfer rules. If a HC leaves, the student athlete should also have the option to leave, as long as it's not to the HC's destination.

It's just horrendous for the game as a whole, and completely unnecessary. Someone needs to tell these kids that in life when it comes to karma you reap what you sow.

There is no managing through it. A last second thing like this would hurt any school. We're terrible on the field so things like this are heightened(pun intended). Other schools things like this happen to have to take the L just like us. Auburn lost George Pickens minutes before he was supposed to sign with them on Feb. signing day.

There is no mananging losing a 5-star WR that late. You just keep it moving. If this staff was worth a **** we would've won 10 games and losing this kid which probably wouldn't have happened if we were any good would just be part of the game.

Successful schools don’t have roster imbalances like we do and don’t have depth issues like we do.......that’s the exact definition of managing through it. Is it ideal.......of course not but one of the biggest differences between Miami and your example is highlighted by your other point and what really matters here. Miami is disorganized, Miami is constantly unprepared, Miami lacks effective planning and creativity, and these things exacerbate symptoms like fickle 18 year old kids making last minute changes. Then you add the blatant arrogance/ignorance and you have the pile of **** currently being served. The only thing effective this staff has is excuses right now.

Whether a staff or school is able to overcome a decommittment this late into the cycle, does not determine whether the act is justifiable. I'm discussing this from the standpoint of character flaws and whether it is good for the sport of CFB as a whole. You can't compare CMD crashing a coaching clinic to what these hoe *** kids do on an annual basis.

The act isn’t justifiable (never said it was) and while the clinic incident on the surface may seem harmless, making excuses and throwing shade on previous staff to save face when things go south (after talking all that **** and posturing) is as big of a character flaw as you can find. It’s the definition of a hoe.

Miami is plenty prepared for the potential loss of a DE. They redshirted two prospects last year and have two committed in this cycle. There are plenty of other positions you can point to. DE isn't a good example

The issue specific to Height has everything to do with the hypocrisy of certain fans crushing the kid and ignoring all of the ***** *** tendencies our current head coach exhibits, but you are right there is plenty of ammo to use as examples for the staff’s incompetence as well.

This merry band of eunuchs have spent the entire season chasing a guy who has decommited from them twice like some freshman nerd trying to get a “popular” senior to sign their yearbook.

This AFTER they issued an ultimatum on recruiting. These dudes are not only clueless but they have no pride or self respect.

Why do you seem incapable of separating the two issues? The staff can be terrible (they are) AND that has zero bearing on Height acting like a fool (he has).

Because crushing the kid without recognizing that our head coach in particular is every bit the fool (in his actions and character as much as just poor execution) is hypocritical (and hysterical considering one is a coach being paid $4 million with part of his job being to develop kids and the other is a...............kid), hence worth pointing out. It’s really not that hard to understand and considering this kid was and maybe still is seriously considering playing for this staff, the two “issues” are anything but mutually exclusive.
