I like Gaby and think he has potential. 2 things he needs to work on most though: 1, not getting too emotional when people question him or compare his info to other people. 2, learning to be flexible and not letting your info burn you. He got burned a few times lately because he just kept fighting for his initial comments.

The funny part is just yesterday he was telling y'all how staff wanted nothing to do with him. Reality is we told the kid if your brother is here we have a spot for you. That happened weeks ago. Not just these last few days.

Thanks for clarifying the situation @Brooklyndee . I've updated the OP with the facts and eliminated the conflicting sauces.
 
When is he making a decision? He’s a 2022 kid so I’m assuming it would have to be by the summer at the latest?

I can't see this kid passing up Graves, Rodgers, or Jaden Harris (incoming freshmen). Out of our CB group, I don't see him passing Couch, Blades, Tyrique, or Porter (our current CBs with meaningful experience). And, our safety room is just too talented. If know I may be in the minority here, but, we have toooooo many needs to take a guy who may not get meaningful snaps here.

Currently, we are 100% a school that may have to do this. I don’t think you fully grasp how bad our CB situation is… anyone outside of Blades, Rique and Porter just isn’t even serviceable and out of those 3, Rique is gone next year and who knows what Blades will do. It makes all the sense in the world to take this kid.

Your wrong! Considering we have graves, rogers, davis, clarke, dunson, couch! Outside of couch who has played extensively! We have a young secondary outside of rique, blades and ivey. Porter jus got here. relax cane fam

You are overating what we have. The 3 freshman are talented, the rest is trash outside of Rique and Porter. Let’s see what Blades does cause he has talent but hasn’t played in a long while.

I hear yu fam! But, i didn't judge the talent i jus gave the names of who we have. If yu want to see what blades can do why not give everybody that same chance cane family!🤷

Does Mario know who Gaby's source is and either the source deliberately gives the wrong info, or Mario plants wrong info? It's been pretty clear that Mario's dried up the local media's ability to get scoops and is controlling the flow of information very intentionally to certain outlets. I also get the vibe that people around the program who know a lot, (like you, for instance), share less in general because of your respect for Mario, wanting fans to be fans, and to protect what needs to be kept quiet until the right time.

Because the others have had ample time to show what they got and they just aren’t it. Blades isn’t a sure thing either which makes this kid a take as much as any. In the end think about it this way… we have JAGs who are transferring. The one position people like @1murhurricane has told us isn’t solidified on the recruiting trail is QB. So let’s take a JAG, trade him for another and get a 5 star QB in the deal as well. Seems like a no brainer to me
