I agree with this. The 2 qb system was the one of the worst things I ever saw (almost as bad as our defense the last 2 years). Neither qb could ever get into any kind of rythem.

Not really... According to him Freeman beat out Wright, so he started Freeman.... Freeman later proved he was bad so KW relinquish his role as a starter... KW was often injured that year starting with FSU... Then Freeman finished the game and started the next week and sucked but there was no one behind him because both our 1st and 3rd string qbs were hurt... KW couldn't stay healthy and there was no other option behind Freeman... Come on now lets be fair he had absolutely no options his first year... And he had no reliable options his second year...

The sad thing is that KW finally developed a drive to succeed his last year but he had no weapons to work with and the injury bug hit him... If he was our qb in 08 we win at least 9 games... The kid came on strong against a great comeback effort against UNC in the second half but through a game winning pic in the end zone...

We squandered a lot of talent during the years Marve and company were at UM. Some of the worst position coaching and offensive coordinating I've ever seen at any level. Truly believe Marve would have been a much more productive player with a legit OC.

All indications showed that Harris was the better player. Marve went to Purdue and pretty much rode the bench there too but yea he should have started here.

The problem is the only coordinator Marve ever had here was Patrick Nix. Harris had 2 NFL OC's to coach him up in Whipple and Fisch and he still didn't look that great. 2009 was solid and 2011 was decent, but 2010 was an abomination. In his good years, there was no 2 qb system. 2 qb systems don't work I really don't think Harris was any better than Marve, but he was in a better position to succeed.

A "Where Are They Now?" of some of our previous corches is enough to make you puke. I believe Nix is corching high school ball somewhere after being a position corch at a FCS school. Not that it's much worse than being a position corch at Arky that can't get promoted on an 0-8 conf record team and only making $250k in the almighty $EC. We pay Coley more than double that.

So Shannon wins 7 games in year 2 with 2 two true frosh qb's.....golden wins 7 games with an experienced junior qb but Shannon mismanaged his situation. Yea playing two true frosh qb's cause neither separated themselves until the end of the year is mismanagement. Lol. Many people need to accept that he wasn't better than Harris... Besides the pics Harris ranks like 2nd all-time as a passer and that's quite the accomplishment... Marves career doesn't come close... He was just beat out and accomplished very little at Purdue... I actually wanted him to start over Harris and I liked Harris but he never separated himself... Marve had potential but he never developed due to everyone enabling him as oppose to being honest and upfront... He lacked discipline and his hs coach and father never provided him with that... For instance, Sam Sheilds... When he was disciplined by the staff his father lauded the staff and to this day credits them for his success... Marve's circle did the opposite and his career went down an opposite path...
