Stayed put when Manny got canned. Appreciate all he did for this program. He deserved better than the two bums for head coaches.
Rivers benefitted from Mirabal/Cristobal. Maybe his career would have been very good regardless, but the consensus on Rivers pre-Mario was that he was a bust and could not play guard. Post-Mario he played at a high level at 2 OL positions. Think what you will about Mario as an HC but he and Mirabal likely helped to make a lot of money for Rivers at the next level.Stayed put when Manny got canned. Appreciate all he did for this program. He did his part by being a strong figure in the locker room for the younger guys and was always a team playerRivers benefitted from Mirabal/Cristobal. My coworkers daughter went to HS with him at Oakleaf up here in the Jacksonville area and he told me the kid was one of the nicest, smartest kids he'd been around. All that held true throughout his career at Miami. Gonna miss him on this team. Need more like himOne of the few Canes in recent years that barely a negative word has been uttered about. That alone says a lot, especially around here.
A great young man who rode out the tough years. Never even heard a whisper of a bad rumor about him.
We were blessed to have him.
We live in a world of college athletes posting graphics. To Commit. To decommit, to recommit, to transfer, to go to the draft...but maybe for these specifically it's just a way to say thanks as well...who knowsBest of luck! Had a great career here and was underrated overall.
This might be a stupid question, but why do guys who’ve ran out of eligibility (Rivers, Restrepo, Porter etc) still declare for the NFL draft? Isn’t that a given?
