Odds are in favor of Surtain playing his college football in Florida. Florida State and Miami are battling over the big-time talent from South Florida but LSU is lurking. Surtain has taken a lot of visits but is likely going to wait it out before announcing a commitment. Expect the lead to bounce back and forth between the Seminoles and Hurricanes as the recruiting process moves forward.

Much like Surtain, Samuel more than likely commits to a school in Florida. Florida State and Miami are seen as his two leaders, having visited both schools a number of times. The Gators will have something to say here before Samuel pulls the trigger, but the Seminoles and Hurricanes are in the driver’s seat. He doesn’t seem very interested in making an early decision, so look for Samuel to take his time and take a lot of visits.

Blades is practically royalty at Miami and that’s where most people believe he will end up. He is related to former Hurricane greats Brian Blades, Bennie Blades, the late H.B. Blades and the late Al Blades is his father. Florida State is making a big push to try to convince him that Tallahassee is the place for him, but its efforts may be in vain.

The combination of McElwain being a bust & Mark Richt coming here is going to make Florida very irrelevant. After they win 5 games this year the recruits are going to bolt like usain.

If we got 2/3 of the guys above (blades is coming), plus the kids we already have and add Campbell. That may be the best DB class of all time.

Pass on Samuel. I remember seeing his combine #'s were pretty weak especially considering he's alittle undersized ( spare me the bandy argument 2018 is too loaded for this nonsense)

Take Surtain, Blades, Ivey, Jobe, Frierson, Campbell. Realistically i think we'd be hard pressed to land more than 5 of these big names but i'll take any 5.

It will be interesting to see if Rumph can land both Heritage kids Surtain and Campbell.

We need to win and win big this year, and recruiting will be amazing. We will sit back and watch recruits clamor to jump aboard the new and exciting thing in cfb.

This is the first time ive heard that Surtain wanted to play in Fla and that we were in his top 2. Interesting. A class of Blades, Surtain, Ivey and Campbell at DB...and Jobe, Frierson and maybe that Russell kid at S? LMAO. Wow.

Surtain aint comin

Im good with blades, campbell, and ivey at corner with frierson and jobe at safety, thats a elite DB class

HB Blades is dead too? ****. Didn't know that.

Not counting on Surtain or Campbell. That Rumph juice is on them.

Surtain to LSU. Samuel to FSU.
If we get Campbell and keep the guys we currently have, the 2018 DB class is excellent. I'm also going with the assumption Blades is basically a lock.

Not sure you wanna pass on Samuel. Tough to count on the heritage kids ending up here

I can agree with this. If not Surtain, Rumph and Bandy have to close on Campbell. Blades, Ivey and Campbell would be a top CB class. Surtain would be pilling on and trust me gates will be selling not enough playing time for everybody.

If Pat Surtain, Jr. doesn't go to LSU, my money would be on him choosing UM so he can be close to home. He likes UM and his parents like UM, but I don't know that we can overcome the huge lead LSU has on this.

If Al Blades Jr. goes to F$U I will officially never follow recruiting again. That would be like Mike Irvin Jr. going to F$U. **** isn't going to happen.
