Richt repairing Miami's recruiting image

The simple fact is the Canes have to dominate the Coastal. They have to win the division every season for the next 15 seasons. OK one slip up. That's it. If you are in the ACC Championship game every year the program will recruit itself. I believe Coach Richt is up to the task.

Great article! An Im not really worried about the offense it's the defense that has been the problem and I think will continue to be the problem until it is fixed. If the defense steps up this year I truly believe we can get to the ACC championship game.

You don't need to be in the ACC Championship game every yr for this program to recruit itself. Honestly If we go to the ACC Championship This year, It will recruit itself for the next 3. Not that I don't think we will make it just about every year, but I'm just saying it takes almost nothing for this program to recruit itself. I mean if we are being honest, even under Golden we had the 3rd most talented team in the ACC, and the most talented team in the Coastal every year.

"I think this program is back on their path to dominance, and is being led by an awesome God fearing man that will get the best and do the most for each one of his players."

Gimme a wall to run through.

That coach putcooper cook and juedy in the same se tence. Even sfla coaches know juedy is a fkin animal

2. The buzz surrounding the Paradise camp was ridiculous. Something I've never experienced in my life in Miami. I actually felt bad for our coaches in Alabama, because our kids (Trajan) Bandy, C.J. (Henderson), and (Josh) Jobe, were depressed that they didn't get to participate in the event even though they were being taken to places like Alabama, Auburn, etc...

How crazy is that! Local coach felt bad b/c his players couldn't come to UM & had to slum it at Alabama & Auburn...

Richt has turned the direction of this program SO QUICKLY!!! Just need two things: 1. Wins, 2. Consistency.

Love it!

The coaches weren't depressed...Jobe/Bandy/Henderson was depressed that they couldn't come.

Winning is the next phase. I believe it will happen based on the ground work that has already been laid. We're light years ahead of where we were after that idiot was fired and it'll play out on the field too. The ACC as a conference has gotten better and it'll be an equally competitive league this year and in the future.

The knock on Richt not winning big game is somewhat fair, however he has never had a roster stocked with So. Fla. players with an us against the word attitude. If he can get that he will win big.

Winning the SEC champ is winning the big game. That was when they had a more corrupt system called the BCS. This one still is, but less. I have no doubt Richt can win it all at Miami. Its a travesty Golden and Shannon couldnt trample a bunch of nobody basketball schools. Pathetic.

Great article, Pete.

What were the Columbus guys doing at Alabama and Auburn during the biggest recruiting event ever at UM? Seems unnecessary for them to be touring those redneck wastelands during such a monumental weekend.

They were playing in a previously scheduled 7 v 7 tournament

Great read - good to see the local coaches back on board. I remember the "similar" write ups for Golden too but I also remember Golden getting hated on by a lot of sources from the jump as well. I'm still yet to see an anti-Richt article written in the South Beach area (I could be wrong, I personally just haven't seen it, I live up North). If you have seen some Richt hate - I'd love to read it, please shoot me the link!

7 on 7 is garbage. Glorified game of tag organized by corrupt shysters looking to sell recruits to the highest bidders. They should have been at Paradise.
