Richt gets his QB

View as article
Isn't the ultimate goal to recruit 1-2 high-end QB prospects each year? We need to find a starter and 2 backups while also accounting for injuries and attrition. I trust Richt, so I'm excited to see what Sits can accomplish at IMG. In the meantime, I hope the QBs already on our roster and N'Kosi are ready to compete.

Last I checked, Gray Crow is no longer on the Hurricanes.

Florid la saying they cooled on him and FSU saying they didn't offer him after his camp visit and he regressed last year... he supposedly had a horrible season last year... somebody have some more info on this guy??

(Sitowski's) more like Gray Crow or Kirby Freeman than either of them at this point.

Soccer mom and the world's biggest FSU fan (BleakVern) are in agreement that this is a really bad recruit.

I guess they know more than Richt or just about every single recruiting expert out there.

For the record, soccer mom admitted to being an FSU fan a couple years ago. He's one of those period clots who thinks it's possible to be a UM fan and an FSU fan.

I've said if you can ever find such a quote, I'd quit posting since it was never said. In turn, you can't find it, you do the same or keep my name out of your mouth.

You can't help yourself, you're a chick who makes up stuff to try and make himself feel important on a message board. The sad part, you don't know crap about this game that you spend hours a day dedicated to the sport.

VernTheNole needs to put a wig on and replace Candi Fisher. Maybe Jimbo can become a Mormon and take soccer mom with him.

Championship teams stack their lineup with talent 3-deep at every position. Every position, including quarterback.

How do you NOT take this kid?

He may never play a down from Miami, or he may be the starter in 2018 or 2019. Who knows?

The point is you take the talent. It's sheer idiocy to talk about not taking him.

Oh and a big fūcking LOL to soccer mom and BlackSperm comparing him to Gray Crow or Kirby Freeman. PURE IGNORANCE. Since when did those two guys ever have arm, and the potential Sit had when they were in high school. Not even close. They lose all credibility with that comparison.

Learn your recruits, all had good arms and prototypical size. They both made poor decisions and had horrible stats. Freeman was as good of a runner as Sit. The only place any of them showed up was at a camp and none of them really stood out. It's a fantastic comparison and you're blind if you don't see it.

I'd take my chances tackling Kirby Freeman ANY day over trying to tackle Sitkowski. You can't disagree with this.... Can you?

I hate to agree with Vern but there was a lot of people slurping crow and using the " he played in a run heavy offense " excuse. Even though his film was very meh. At least Sitkowski is a camp super star and highly rated. Crow not so much.

I'm at the wait and see approach. I have questions but this season will tell us a lot. Until then he's another shorts/shirt warrior.

People were even using the Charlie Weiss offered him and is trying to get him to UF still now that he's there pitch. I called Gray Crow what he was at that time, someone undeserving of an offer. Some of the children went so far as to suggest he screwed my mother for me to not sip the kool-aid with them.

He's got work to do, there's nowhere to go but up. Hope he kills it, but he's got a long way to go and with the last class he has time to put it all together.

Art may a bit tougher to tackle, but there isn't some massive disparity in size. Sit just looks more cut up.

Bruh you realy gonna go there and make me waste my time to look back to find the old Gray Crow threads? I remember it like yesterday how The old Notre Dame coach wanted him... we all made excuses for his numbers because he had crazy potential and a string arm. I have never once saw Gray Crow or Sitowski throw..but I know we were all hype on Crow and the other dude that the BYU QB suposedly groomed somebody hjelp me out here. The thing that connects them all? They all had ****** high school numbers

LOL you're such a pathetic liar. Nobody was "hyping" Gray Crow. He was a lowly-ranked QB with almost no notable offers.

Oh really!!!!!!!

Florida high school sports | Countryside's Gray Crow ranked 15th-best pro-style QB, will have competition at Miami

Would you take a kid with these stats in 10 games playing against top competition?

126 out of 203 for a 62% completion percentage.
16.8 yard average
28 TD to only 4 picks
QB Rating an impressive 128.6
And a state title...

Because those were Treon Harris' numbers.

Here's more from the herald

Crow, who received his first verbal offer as a freshman from former Notre Dame coach Charlie Weis after attending one of his camps, is rated the 95th-best player regardless of position in the state by The Herald's Larry Blustein. Last month, Crow was tabbed by Rivals.com as the second-best junior quarterback at the U.S. Army All-American combine in San Antonio.

I guess I missed Gray Crow playing at the US Army GMe.

Trying to argue that Gray Crow wS "hyped up" is absolutely retarded. He was a three star prospect with hardly any major offers. Stick to teaching re-written history to kindergarterners.

Fella, the argument isn't that everyone with great stats in HS produces big in college. The argument is that QBs who have a 2 to 1 INT to TD ratio in HS don't generally turn out in college.

Show me a guy who went 2 to 1 INT to TD ratio in HS who tore it up in college football as a QB.

I'm open on Artie Sits because he still has a year of HS to make it happen. But if he puts up awful to mediocre numbers surrounded by all that talent then he's a sheep in wolf's clothing.

Right now, he's a camp star who hasn't done it on the field. He can change all that this year.

This has nothing to do with the argument. Literally apples to bow ties

Disagree. That is but one example. Long list of shiny stats from high school heroes this board has lost its gag reflex over that wash out, transfer or play another position.

I think he is raw but also don't think Richt is looking for him to play right away.

Dont disagree. His year at IMG should answer those questions.

I can't say I disagree with that at all either and it's similar to my feelings. The only way it's a failure since it gets us into IMG even more so is if he bombs there and we still take him.

Gray Crow was a 4 star on rivals who got de-starred to a 3 star after his ****** season.. He was one of the ones who porsters said oh as soon as we get a croot he loses stars. He was offered by Weiss at ND but wasnt when he went to Florida... We rode the coa tails of the weiss offer into believeing he was a beast..

Again, you don't know football if you say Crow and Sit were similar as juniors in HS.

Simple as that. No comparison.

There's no telling how he does is a senior at IMG, and then there's no telling if he ever takes a snap as a hurricane. Right now he's a prospect you take. LOL at the Crow comparisons. Pure ignorance and lack of football knowledge.

After watching some of his highlights, this kid moves just like Luck. I can see why Richt wants him on his team. He won't be expected to start right away. Richt will have time to develops him. This is also going to help with other IMG kids. This class is coming together nicely at this early stage.
