I agree with you. But also, the Creek boys went to (or are still) going to HS together. I just can't see Byrd going to UT even if Fils-Aime is going. Just because your lead recruiter is there now shouldn't be a factor (I know common sense doesn't apply). Willie Martinez will be his position coach, not Scott, the person he'll be dealing with the most.

You meet this kid ... and you will like this kid THE END... and you know if he went to Tenn it was the best move for him... IMO this kid goes to Miami... Primary reason he wants to be close to his family... I joked and said "Are you a mommas boy like Shaq". He replied quickly "Yes sir..." with a smile on his face. He told me that he is very close to Fils-Aime and want him to come to Miami... but he knows that Fils-Aime is all into Tenn.. so he feels that there is no chance of flipping him... And I feel that there is no chance of Byrd flipping to Tenn... Anything is possible but that's my gut... and again if the kid does go to Tenn... I'm still one of his fans.

Thanks for the info.Hope mamma wins out.We really need him here but in the end he has to do what's best for him.I think he has a better chance of going pro if he comes here-history proves that too.Current players on NFL rosters-Miami-40,Tenn.-27 and this includes us being down and having sanctions.The U is back but we need all of the talented local guys to stay home.

Until we kick **** every saturday some of the better SoFl talent will opt for big time winners like bama, but I truly believe he stays home. Problem is bama wins champs and cannot do it without FL Boys.

You and others omit one huge factor in Byrd's decision and that his head coach at Naples,Bill Kramer.Kramer has been at Naples
HS for over 20+ years.You might refer to him as the Bear Bryant of high schools.With him,you make a decision,you live with your decision.
Your not the U on Monday,Tenn.on Tues and Notre Dame on Wed.

Met coach Kramer in TX... funny thing he and Shaq's coach were like to peas in a pod at the coaching clinic. Its probally chance but the last time i saw him...he was eating lunch with Byrd..Shaq...Shaq's coach...
