Rhett Lashlee calls out national perception of the ACC - re: Playoff Bids

I honestly thought this was an onion post.

How about Miami 41- UF 17? Nd 23- A&M 13, USC 27- LSU 20, Cal 21- Auburn 14... when the teams are evenly matched the SEC is not as dominant... they just get more chances than every other conference because of bias
My list is made up of all SEC team wins.

Your list comprises 2 ACC teams , an Independent and a Big 10 team.

Show me one conference that has the same type of convincing wins as does the list below. The point is to prove which conf has the best resume.

Bama beat South FL 41-16
Bama beat Wisky 42-10

Georgia beat Clemson 34-3

Ole Miss beat Wake 40-6

Tenn beat NC State 51-10

Texas beat Mich 31-12

If we're comparing to wins over Wake, NCST, Mich, and USF... lol why?

Above, we're also looking at the SEC's best, 2nd best, 3rd best, and 4th best, and 5th best teams beating G5, the 10th best team in the B1G, the 4th best team in the ACC, the 14th best team in the ACC, the 13th best team in the ACC, and 8th best team in the B1G

Miami beat USF 50-15 at USF
Miami beat UF 41-17 at UF

Cal beat Auburn 21-14 at Auburn

North Carolina beat Minnesota 19-17 at MN

Boston College beat Mich State 23-19

Missouri only beat BC by 6 at Missouri

Louisville is probably going to beat Kentucky
Clemson vs SC will be a good game. I lean Clemson there.

The problem is we don't have comparable games to base off of in any direction. The only good matchup was Clemson vs Georgia in week 1 and I'm not convinced that would have the same outcome if it was played now. Georgia still wins but it's not a landslide anymore.

We do have examples of the bottom of the ACC beating the bottom of the SEC and the bottom of the ACC beating the bottom of the B1G and the middle of the ACC beating the middle of the B1G. Middle of the SEC beating the middle of the ACC. Middle of the B1G beating middle of the ACC. etc. and they were almost all very close games. Tells me it is just as "deep" and losses to the bottom and middle in any conference should all be weighted the same. Is the ACC as good at the top as those 2 conferences? No. Hard to be when 2 of your 3 biggest branded teams aren't very good this year. 6-17 in every conference is basically the same flawed team wearing a different uniform.

Why are you including Bamas wins over a 4-5 USF, and a 5-4 Wisconsin team? To me those aren’t impressive wins.

I hate the SEC as much as anyone. But they’ve probably earned it at this point. I wouldn’t want to know our record year after year if we player an SEC schedule. And that’s our own fault. Struggling with the Georgia tech’s and UNC of the world
Out of necessity, it would have made us get those SEC type O and D lines to compete - because we still have a ways to go.

This right here. It's not hard to understand, when the sec plays teams at a similar level the results are essentially 50/50, they're not any more dominant than another conference. That doesn't even include the fact they get most of their games at home.

Vandy also lost to Georgia st, Tenn to Arkansas, ole miss to Kentucky... their top teams **** the bed too sometimes. The only conference that year in and year out gets a pass for all this is the SEC, if that's not a clear indication of bias I don't know what is.

Yeah he's gonna be a great offensive mind and on the rise, unlikely we get a chance to hire him before a big program swoops in
It will take a huge contract to get him to leave..their boosters just committed hundreds of millions of $$$ to get them into the ACC. They're not going to let Rhett go easily. I'd venture to say their boosters could outbid just about anybody else out there.

Pretty sure UF ain’t paying Lashlee 11 mil.
But you are right, SMU boosters won’t be outbid for something they can buy.

I see why the other Texas schools blocked SMU out all these years… they know the potential.
Ya the documentry about SMU an ****erson an Craig James they were showin they been ready for this they jus couldnt caught again! SMU aint no joke Lashlee was a good hire for them too!

Growing on me.

Here are some convincing SEC wins that are hard to argue against vs non conf opponents

They are the strongest conf and it really isn't even close right now.

Bama beat South FL 41-16
Bama beat Wisky 42-10

Georgia beat Clemson 34-3

Ole Miss beat Wake 40-6

Tenn beat NC State 51-10

Texas beat Mich 31-12
Is this supposed to be satirical?

Hes sees the BS coming from a mile away. That only the ACC champ will get in the CFP and the runner-up will be left out. Meanwhile some 3-loss SEC team will work their way into the 12th seed.
Yeah and how the *** is Pedo State sixth
Someone enlighten me to what they have done all season?

How the F is Pedo state 6th?
They played one decent team and frapped bed at home
The rest of their schedule is total trash
The big10 has so many terrible teams. You’ve got Oregon and OSU who are legit championship contenders. Then you have Penn state and Indiana who have good records because they’ve feasted on the rest of the league. Every other team is 5-4 or 4-5 or worse. They are 7-9 vs other P4 conferences and three of their wins are against Big12 powerhouses Kansas, West Virginia and Colorado. It’s crazy that even after the expansion, they’re a conference full of teams that are fighting to be bowl eligible

**** all of that. There has been so much realignment that wins and losses need to metter regardless of what conference you are in.

I am sick of hearing about SEC teams that have one or more losses than a team positioned in what is considered to be a 'weaker' conference, and said team is punished for it.

I am not advocating for the UCFs of the world, because that self-claimed natty is straight dumb as ****, but in a way I am. That team definitely deserved a chance, and over the years they have not been the only one.
I think you have the right approach. They use computers to sort out anomalies, but then rely on the human factor and bias to finalize the picks. As a HCW, I see what the advent of .I. has done for diagnosing cancers, brain bleeds and assisting in complicated surgery. Certainly they can use the A.I. protocols to figure out a GD CFB poll and to decide who makes the playoffs. JFC, it’s not rocket science,… well maybe it is. But at least those dirty humans will keep their hands and money off of it. Just sayin’
