respectfully, who recruited cam ward to miami?

Oh really? Care to explain the players we have on defense in year 3?
we have some solid guys getting experience at dtackle ... scott, moten, jones, horton ... is expected to take a step
guys got reps at de ... bain, mcconathy, excited about booker, lightfoot, blount
popo, wes, and pruitt at lb
brown and oj are a good start at cb

now i'll agree, we have to fill in some holes on the secondary ... but i think some have become prisoner of the moment due to it being crootin season ... we have some really good talent ... not if you want to talk about whose coaching defense, that's a separate, but legit matter

Why didn't our elite recruiter fill the very well-known holes in our secondary last offseason?

how many times have we expected guys to take a step and then they not take a step?

bain took a step back.
brown was hurt all year.
pruitt played like 4 snaps and didnt see the field again after he made the only good play on defense.
wes is a bust imo.
moten looked fine.

no one is expected to take a step until they actually take said step.

How about year 4
DL - Bain, Moten, Alston*, Mesidor*, Jones, Scott, Pickett, Lightfoot, Blount, Horton, McConathy, Rudolph, Bryant, Russell
LB- Popo, Bissainthe*, Hayes, Pruitt, Washington, Smith*
CB- Brown, OJ, Mack, Hill, Richard, Stafford
S- Patterson, Williams, Harris (ugh), Thomas, Day

That back 4 isn't pretty

again, if your talking coaching, i'll agree ... but i named guys that are expected to contribute next year and have shown flashes ... i also agree that there is more work to do especially in the secondary ...

Fans obsession with Bain is baffling.

He had like 4 sacks as a freshman, and barely even made a single play per game this year.

Position is supposed to look like Jaelan Phillips or Greg Rousseau, not that.

Bain needs to move to DT, he’s not long enough or quick enough on the edge

Moten is an undisciplined dumbass

well played, but i think yall know the only thing mc does at an elite level

Since Manny Diaz got the best QB in the portal in 2020 in King and brought Jaelen Phillips off the scrap heap and turned him into a first rounder , do you think Diaz was an underrated recruiter?

He gained too much weight. But yea I agree he was invisible for most of the year. I’d take Phillips, Rousseau, and Roche over him all day.

that was manny issue, trying to find the diamond in the rough because we couldnt get prime time players ... not a good enough coach at the time to develop ... mc been elite since bama ...
