Now indicate that the Dallas Cowboys special teams coach will be the new head coach at Penn State. Reported by Joe Rose at W QAM

If that happens then we know for sure guys like Golden and Franklin told them no.
 
And a thread started 5 minutes ago said that Joe Rose had info from 2 guys he trusts saying PSU is coming to Miami today to offer Golden a contract. Joe Rose has them sources
 
They didn't want to pay Goldens buyout.

It is becoming clear they really didn't want golden. Scary.

Guess you can spin it any way you want. Golden does have a pretty good job now unless you think PEDO St on harsh probation is better than the Miami job.

Their probation isn't all that harsh since things have been reversed. I believe I read from here on out (including this class) they can take the full allotted 25 players per class. (making the roster a full 85 after next season) This next year will also be their last bowl ban. It's twice the money, a chance to go home, less pressure, 100,000+ crowds on Sat.. Yeah, it's tempting.

I'm willing to bet Rose's source is Gary Ferman. The other source is Degnan who pulled it from Ferman's site.
 
It's not that they didnt want Golden. They sure did, contrary to Canes Fan beliefs...Golden is considered to be a **** good HC. THEY DIDN'T WANT NO D. he is the deal breaker.

Does it surprise anyone that PSU isn't more ambitious in their search? I mean, Golden? They can do better than that..

There was an idiot on Twitter last week actually trying to convince me that PSU is a better job than Miami, not based on possibility of winning national titles, but based on $$, fans, facilities and stadium.
 
I'm getting reports, that PSU is planning to offer zone3cane the HC job in a matter of minutes.
