I believe you said it would take something like 6 years with Mario but I believe it was before all of this portal/NIL madness.

It was always never.

6 years was me being sarcastic & making fun of the "he needs more time" excuse that people kept making.

It's not ever going to happen with Mario, because he's simply not capable. He doesn't have the pedigree.

But worst of all, eventually he'll lose the financial support.

Only thing I disagree with is the financial side. Rev share plus our NIL will make if competitive. Extremely rich people hate being wrong more than they hate backing a loser. Mario will have to fall azzz backwards into success because we all know he does everything he can not to find it. But I don’t think the money wil dry up, and we now have an admin that understands the importance of football. Literally the only thing that keeps me hopeful

100% fair. The former, yes, he'll help a lot. The latter is a development play. ... So maybe we only need Lucas. But I still worry about Nickel bigtime. Are you willing to bet Brown will be good or Richard will come back better?

I don't agree. But you may be right. At least for now, his financial support seems to have improved not gotten worse.

It's already a guarantee we're not making the playoffs next year.

So that means we pretty much have to hope he goes all out again in the Portal & has a homerun 2026 class in order to have a shot for year 5 of his tenure.

I have a suspicion these conversations will keep reoccurring as the years pass by...

QB - absolute must. No clue who but it's gotta be the best available. Convince someone to jump in if need be lol
S - you'd hope Poyser and Patterson (hopefully takes the next step) are your starters but def another addition would be nice for competition
CB - Lucas if they ever let him join the portal and O Conner would be fantastic
WR - def need another impact guy here. Love what i saw from JoJo. Hopefully daniels is back to his old self. Wish Horton would have waited until after watch milroe in this bowl b4 dipping out... would like to see NY Carr take a major step too
TE - Tulane TE seems like a fit. Probably need one of the young guys to be serviceable alongside Loftin and tulane guy is he comes
DT - really hope Scott stays. I think you could get by with Blay, Scott, Moten and Horton if he's healthy but if there's a starting caliber guy out there it def wouldn't hurt.
C - Brockermeyer with SJ pushing him. Ryan Rod could compete there too
LB - feels like a true impact guys that can run and cover is desperately needed. Still have some young pieces we don't know about...Hayes, Pruitt, and Aguirre. Not sure if Bissainthe can bounce back as well...
