Remaining Options and predictions

Committed does not equal signed, sealed and delivered.

Maybe it’s wishful thinking (it definitely is), but best case scenario is pivoting quickly (lol) on Plan B at QB and circling back on WRs. Not sure what Plan B is, but get it in motion pronto. Daniels doesn’t move the needle for me at WR. Maybe he’ll be better than I envision, but he’s another system guy and not really a dominant outside WR1. Rivers, Singleton, Stribling move it more. Concepcion needs to be utilized properly, he’s somewhere in the middle.

I would go after a TE1 like Max Klare, especially if the WR room is likely to be worse than in 2024. Gives you another viable pass catcher while still having Williams and Lofton to block more.

More importantly, however, is the CB room. We have our head in the sand there. Need to start overpaying (yes, overpaying) for quality CBs. That has to be fixed now. Not in the spring, not in the fall. Now.

The defensive staff changes really should have begun already, but that’s a different conversation. Keeping a lame duck staff around for a bowl game does nothing but prompt uncertainty with transfers.
