Reggie Johnson is a total and utter nonfactor...

No Idea why Coach L had him out there

Probably because he went gorilla on Duke last year...However, that was last year. Duke cannot stand bigs that like to bang the boards. Unfortunately, our bigs were in auto pilot Saturday night....

Big Reg would have been more useful eating Kelly during halftime. Lol. I can't hate the guy though. He made 2 game-winning shots this year.

He had a horrific game, came out 2H and got two fouls IMMEDIATELY but really thats more on the refs than him, Plumballs was *** raping him the whole game and no call, Reg taps the guy and gets an immediate whistle. That put him with 4 fouls right out of the gate and gave him no chance of being aggressive.

IMO he's better off coming off the bench, let Julian start and bang up guys then bring in the big man.

NO WAY Reggie does this again in the ACC tourney, you can bank on that.

No one was asking him to tear up the Defensive boards with his early fouls. But at least hold on to the ball at the other end and jam it in from 2 feet away .... instead of tippy toeing in the paint!!

I didnt mean why he played at all, but it was obvious he was struggling and I have no idea why he was in at the end

Guy that dropped 27 last year in Durham, had a bad game, get over it, we need him and nothing you so called experts say will change his role on the team, having a bad game, that's life live with it, lol, as John Kerry said," in America you have the right to be stupid."

Well said, well said and well fuccccccccccccccccccccccccckkkkkkkkkkkkkking said!

I know what I would do at practice. "Reggie, if you can catch a wrench, you can catch a ball!"

No its really not well said

NC State, UVA, and FSU are the only decent games he has had since he returned

He is shooting 39 percent that is horrible for a guard its shockingly bad for a big

First, you are incorrect. It is sad that our fan base (I know most are incredibly dumb around here) gave up on this guy after ONE GAME. He has averaged 8 PPG and 8 RPG this year. Those are good numbers for a player coming off the bench. Before the injury, he was having a darn good year. Even still he is an 8 and 8 player shooting 40% FG and I am more than fine with that on this team.

Second, he had a bad game and people basically want him gone. This guy has been there for us and we need him for the post season run.

Third, this is a guy who is really important to what we do. This is a guy that will get rebounds, score and provide us with GOOD DEPTH at the center position. When he is in the game, we can still get the ball inside and create a viable scoring option. THIS IS KEY. He had a really bad game against Duke, I get it.

This thread is title a total and utter nonfactor, that is a stupid comment. I guess time will tell and settle this, even though it is well established that he is a big part (no pun intended) of this team. We need him.

I didnt say I wanted him off the team or gone or anything like that. He shoudnt have been in the game at the end. That was a mistake from Coach L. And please on ripping our fan base. I have gone to easily 90 percent of home games since my freshman year in 05. My posts on the team are far from dumb

I dont see how you are arguing that 39.7 shooting for a big isnt awful

Kenny is at 48.9 percent and he shoots a lot of outside shots. Gamble at 55 percent. Tonye at 54.5 Swoope at 66.7

Also he is averaging 5.9 points and 6.4 boards on 37 percent shooting since coming off the bench. Not 8 and 8

My only issue with Coach L this year has been Jekhiri's lack of minutes. I know he's a freshman but there are times where he needs to be out there. You can't teach 7 feet with his length. He's bound to make plays on both ends. Not to mention with how well our guards were penetrating against Duke he would'v been catching lobs for days. Reggie cant even dunk at times.

Going to games is not relevant for this conversation. He averages 8 and 8 on the year, as I said.

His shooting percentage is low and I agree. I am just amazed on what these moped (our fans) say about certain players.

The post I responded to was well said IMO and that is why I responded.

The problem with that guys post is he said he had a great game last year so no one can say anything. Thats as dumb as the people saying he shouldnt step on the court again cause of last Saturday

That is not what he is saying, he is saying he saved us the last time at Duke and this time he had a bad game so lay off.

I have no problem criticizing, but saying he sucks and is worthless is a little too much. No problem calling him Double Cheeseburger though.

Just because he played well at Duke a year ago doesn't mean he should be excused for playing horribly on Saturday. All he had to do was give us something and we win. I still like the guy but unless he turns it around starting tonight, he's going to go down as a disappointment here.
