Recruiting

Surprised we haven't gotten there yet. Those threads are coming. I anticipate after this weekend when there aren't a bunch of flips.

The reality is we're going to get a lot of new faces to sign in February. Probably a lot of guys not on our radar right now
It sounds to me because we are so late in the game the transfer portal becomes a realistic situation for Mario to look at. Sounds like i’m stating the obvious but it works for just this space and time.

We will land a couple of kids that we were not expecting (well, were were not expecting much), and then some folks will complain and cry that Lawrence Taylor, Joe Montana and Orlando Pace didnt sign with us and that Mario is a fraud.
Yep and be outraged that Mario didn’t get Saban for his DC and Sean Payton as his OC.

Os it odd that a Texas kid was good going to Mirabal and Mario at Oregon but not at Miami?

I don't think so. Miami was not really recruiting him or he was not giving us the time of day. Texas is home, they stayed on him, he already visited there, did not want to make a complete 180 to Miami and start new.

Like imagine Shemar Stewart from Miami commits to Mario at Oregon. Mario leaves and goes to Penn State 3 weeks before early signing day and Shemar already used all his OV's and has never seen Penn State. Would you be just as shocked if Shemar picks to stay home at the U instead of following them to Penn State?

Yeah, that makes sense. Home team familiarity.
