If we can keep Dawson for 2-3 years, it could really change the trajectory of the program. The ROI on having continuity with strong coordinators is enormous with dividends increasing in a non-linear manner. The same can be said for Guidry. Hopefully, the program can overpay if need be, similar to what Clemson/ Rad/ and Dabo did with Venables and the OCs they had there for a while.

This. Double the pay if necessary but get it done so both AT LEAST stay through the 2024 season. And we’d be protected because if pay/contract increases, so does the buy-out.

FWIW, on the BSmith KOR run, he outpaced an ATM CB that was a 10.48 guy in HS.

Not sure he’s the guy for that. We all know he has speed but not sure he has the hips needed for Cb, which has been his assessment since day 1.

I don't ever a poor assessment on Brassard Smith's hips

He has plenty of agility and good feet (maybe not Roscoe Parrish) but he can make people miss

I just don't think he was ever viewed as anything as a small all purpose back or a slot.
