since the commitment of DJ Williams?( where he seemed to chose UM outta nowhere)

I still remember on Grassy that even guys like me( who don't really follow recruiting all that much) feeling a certain buzz and you had the feeling that something special was brewing

Regardless, this coverage on this site is light years from when I had to read Gary Ferman state every year that ERRickson had recruited the best class in UM history for 4 straight years( I still have those issues)

Pretty sure if the remaining guys wait until NSD like we expect, then heads will explode

Nah, not here. We expected this. I was more excited when I used to call the recruiting hotline once a week back in the early 90's to hear who committed.

****, the recruiting hotline!!! You and I must have the largest collection of old, yellowed and tattered Canesport issues.

I remember the recruiting issue with Jammi German on the front cover and thinking this was the Canes version of Deion Sanders. That 93 class was another highly rated class that was full of busts

This signing day has the potential to be the most exciting signing day we've had since 2004. That was the best signing day I can remember. It seemed like we got EVERYONE.
 
Steve, I still have all those. Love the one w jammi. I called national recruiting advisor and canesport. Couldn't wait to hear the report Monday morning after a weekend of visits, who committed, etc.

Yep. Bryant was a bust but that kid loved UM and played hard every down. Gotta respect that. His press conference was unreal.

I nearly made Ryan McNeil faint when I brought it to him to sign. He couldn't believe I still had it years later. Those are great to get signed and framed. It's the main reason I kept them....

But it's funny, reading those know and seeing how hyped Jeffrey Taylor was out of Northwestern...
 
Yep, great announcement.
Agree w weown, if we close how we think, this could be an epic last month if wr get the last 6 or so we expect.

I'm pretty confident about all our remaining, major targets (sans Coley & Williams). Signing day is going to be game 7 Stanley Cup Finals intense for me.

DJ Williams, Willie Williams, Anquan Boldin, Kyle Wright, Tracy Howard are the biggest I'm remembering.
