Recruiting chat 12/5

Overall what grade would you give this recruiting class based on how you think we will finish? And can you compare it to the last few years and how next years class is shaping up

I'll do a full write-up on this after the class is complete, but they are really making that front 7 ELITE.

Need a big time safety and one more corner who can play right away. But this class is almost a failure to me without the Heritage linemen at this point.

Does the class become a success with the Heritage linemen?

To me, yes. Might be a bit extreme, but I only see Donaldson right now as a "can't miss" surefire stud in that group. Hillery/Dykstra can be contributors but it's going to take a couple years. I really like Gaynor inside.

But again, Herbert and Slaton are capable of contributing right away at the weakest spot on the team.

We have one WR as of now and are losing two Seniors with hardly any depth. If we don't sign 2 more this class is a epic failure, 3 more gets us to a successful class so long 1-2 are elite talents.

Harley?
Smith?
????
Njoku

It seems like often get a lot of really solid players but very few difference makers at the skill positions (yearby instead of cook, missing Amari C etc). I don't follow as closely as in past but skill wise seems very similar, missing tons of CBs and Jeudy etc. Is this fair to say?

Fully believe that is essential to getting to next level but initial signs very promising otherwise under Richt.

Pete where do we stand at the WR position? We're hearing Hartley, Smith, and even mention of Jeudy as possibilities. At this time, where do you think each ends up?

Who is the Lonnie Walker of the football recruiting cycle? i.e Someone that no one thinks we're getting that we pull out in the end?

Is there any interest from the coaching staff in Corey Holmes as a potential grad transfer?
