Record vs. "Improvement"

Okay, new scenario - same exact record, but we win the Coastal and lose the ACCCG. Let's say our losses are to FSU (2X), UL, Nebraska, and VT.

Success or failure?

This is the U there ain't no moral victories it's time for Miami to win the coastal

Isn't this cat an FSU fan?

**** shame he has higher expectations for Miami than our own fans.

10 wins minimum. Coastal Champs minimum. Destroy who you're supposed to destroy. Beat who you're supposed to beat. Beat somebody you're not supposed to beat, and never--ever get embarrassed.

I doubt we would make the ACCCG with 3 conference losses esp with a loss to Tech.

That said, still a failure. 4th year at Miami shouldn't have 5 losses, too much talent on the team right now.

Have to win the coastal this year. There is no acceptable reason for not doing so. This roster has enough talent on it where there are no excuses for not winning that crappy side of the ACC.

The two buddies from Temple can look for another line of work if they can't accomplish that goal, 4 years into their regime.

Like I said last year.... 2014 is year 2 for Golden regime in the eyes of the board of trustees

have to agree....olsen has been here since August 2012....if has any talent he can win games...

Canes have arguably the best Rb/Wr in the ACC top 10 in the nation...

maybe olsen is the 2nd best Qb in the coastal...??
Oline is physical.

Defense is going to make huge strides this year...
we are not the only Coastal team with a new QB....have to win the coastal I mean like by nov 1st...
By then we would have played...VT, Gt , UNC & Duke ...our nemeses...we are feeling great...with FSU coming to town...I like it

How is this possible?

We go 5-3 in the ACC and make the ACCCG, did VT lose 4 times?

Sorry - I'm horrible at math (and explaining stuff apparently.) We'd have 2 ACC losses before the ACCCG and then lose to FSU (again) in the CG. Winning the Coastal but finishing the season with 3 total ACC losses.

So we went 6-2 in the ACC?

Right right. With UL being in the ACC that'd negate my edited scenario so forget it and chalk it up to me being a new-math mongoloid.

We have 3 road night games this year against good teams, Louisville, Nebraska and VT. Those are all losable. Then we have 1 tough home game against FSU.

So 4 losses is not out of the question. I think we end up winning 2 of those 4 games though, and that would put us at 10-2 (assuming we can beat all other crappy teams on sked). I am an optimist though and I see this team as better than last year's.

QB will decide a lot..... I hope Olsen can get his **** together and start for us, but if Kaaya comes in and looks good.... I can see us using multiple QBs. Including packages for Rosier as a duel threat QB.
