Reality of Next Year

Our loses on d will addition by subtraction our front 7 talent wise will be 10x better with bums like Shayon Cornelius and thurston off the field

We're gonna be loaded on offense next year. The only question (and it's a big one) is QB. Williams has proven to be serviceable, but he's probably not much more than that. Hopefully Olsen steps up and wins the job. But everywhere else looks good:

RB: Duke, Crawford, Gus, Yearby, Powell, (maybe Cook/Michel)
WR: Coley, Waters, Dorsett, Lewis, Griffin, Jones, Berrios, Langham, Brady, (maybe Dixon)
TE: Warlord, Beau Knows, Dobard, Herndon
OL: Flowers, Feliciano, Shane McDermott, Bunche, Isidora, Gall, KC McDermott, Darling, Gibbons, Nick Linder

Defense is up in the air. The starting secondary and most of the backups return, so we should he solid on the back end.

Front 7 is still a question mark. Depends on who we bring in (including a few JUCOs we're in on), who develops, and how they're used.

Why does everyone forget about sonny odogwu on the o line he's going to be a monster... I dont agree lamp we will have another 10 game winning season (im being optimistic we win 10 this year)

Our best player is our punter ,and best D-line is S Green who has a total of 1 career sacks very sad

And no knees. I thought Chick had a halfway decent game, and McCord looked good at times (except when whiffing on tackles...he was at least in position to make the plays).

Excuses already lol..

Offense returns ALL ACC playmakers in Coley and Duke Johnson. We return 4 OL with over 14 starts a piece in Flowers, McDermott,Bunche, Feliciano.. WR Coley, Waters,Lewis,Dorsett,Scott, and Griffin.. TE Clive Walford (3 year starter) QB Ryan Williams started at a BCS school as a freshman..

Defense 4 year starter in Chickillo and DP if he returns.. 3 year starter in Olsen Pierre, AQM,McCord should be beasts with Kamalu on the edge.. Armbrister has been solid with a healthy Figs and Kirby plus our LB class is stout. Secondary will be top 10 in the nation with ALL ACC guys in Howard and Gunter. Jenkins and a healthy Bush should be a good secondary with Crawford and Burns too. No excuses another soft schedule we should win the coastal and 10 games if not Golden should be let go. All i hear is wait till Golden's guys are jrs and srs well we will see next season...

Add on a top 5 class coming in with playmakers we should win the sorry *** coastal..

What's the rationale from people who are saying we are going to be worse offensively?

We're not going to be worse on either side of the ball. We lose 3 olineman and Hurns on offense (Morris stinks), we'll be fine. **** we'll have better depth on offense next year and if our QB is streaky and turnover prone, then we'll have the same QB as this year. Johnson, Crawford, Edwards, Yearby, Powell, and Cook (ha!) at RB. Sandland, Walford, Dobard, and Griffin (lord willing). Scott, Dorsett, Coley, Waters, and the freshman will be fine. Oline replaces some experience, but still has a good core to build around.

Defensively, all of our units should improve. Muhammed will have a UTough under his belt, McCord will take a step forward, Wyche will step in the middle, and we'll have 4 talented freshman coming in as well. If Perryman stays the rotation will be Perryman, Figs, Kirby, Armbrister, and then Grace (with a UTough), Blue with freshman Owens and Young coming in ready to play. That's not bad at all, much better than this year. Our DBs should be fine. Burns will probably move to safety in the spring, which will give us 4 strong there (Burns, Carter, Bush, Jenkins) and we're bringing in 3 corners to go with Gunter, Howard, Crawford, Dortch, and Elder. That's plenty of depth.

The only people who think we will be worse next year are the sky is falling mope squad.

Kellogg has not started for them for the last four years. Oh, and he stinks too...

Just sayin'

I thought 2014 was our year? that is what everyone on this board said.

Not everyone. Only those who are blind and stupid.

It's always next year. After the nebraska game, it will be "Wait till 2015"

Nebraska will be losing their 4 year starting QB and probably looking for a new head coach..

Next year is when we see the misses in DL recruiting take an even bigger toll. Those kids should be in their 2nd and 3rd years in the program and ready to be unleashed. Instead we will be piecing together a DL for the 4th year in a row. How Uncle Jethro still has a job for that very reason alone is mind boggling. Glad Golden brightened up and started to put his best recruiters on our DL targets this year os else we would be watching kids like Thomas and Valentine head elsewhere.
