As soon as we understand that we can all enjoy the baby canes. There is a huge difference between a college freshman and a college senior in both mental toughness and physical strenght. The fact that we are competing and even winning some of these games is in itself a feat. Anyone who went to a four year college understands this very simple point. We need another two good recruiting classes and we can then set BCS expectations. Until then enjoy the staff-especially Golden and the baby canes who are all heart and skill but dont have the physical strength to compete against men nor the mental toughness to get by a full season without suffering setbacks like Dorsett has had. However they will be back and will rock the house in years to come. Patience is all that we need as long as Golden can put togehter two more solid recruiting classes!

i heard this **** in 2008

And that's why THAT staff is gone. This team is missing an entire generation of players. Between poor recruiting, transfers, and early departures, we have no upperclassmen to speak of. Think of how different this team would look if we still had guys like Vernon, Forston, B.Wash, Streeter, Lamar Miller, and that was ALREADY a thin squad.

Think of all the Aldarius Johnsons, Ray Rays, and others who have ended up gone too.

This team has absolutely NO leadership and almost no upper classmen. Its actually like a perfect storm of sh8t we have been hit with.

I do think we have some issues on the staff, especially on the Defensive side, but this year was going to s*ck any way you cut it. You just cant compete in Division I with a team full of Frosh and Sophs.

Sorry but I dont see why other teams can play young guys and do decent while we play young guys and get murdered. I was at the game sitting real real close today. I saw horrible tackling technique and a lot of things that are due to bad coaching. There will come a point where everyone will agree that we cannot keep allowing 500 yard games every game.

im not comparing that staff to this one.

all im saying is that ive heard all this **** before, and it didnt end up going well.

thats it.

It's like fielding a team of 9th and 10th graders and having them play a team of juniors and seniors.
Or fielding a team of NFL 1st and 2nd year players and running them up against an NFL schedule.

We are the second youngest team in the country. So there is no team that is successful that we can be compared to.

**** is that true?

Anyway, I just want to get to 6 wins this year, self-impose a 2nd bowl, and just move on. Then hopefully not get crushed by scholarship reductions and start fresh. 2014>2013>2012.

Well said. Shannon left this place a mess. The threat of sanctions did not help last years recruiting as well. Golden came into a coaching **** storm.

Other programs don't field ENTIRE TEAMS of young'ns. Alabama, Oregon, UiF, etc...they rely on what, maybe 4 or 5 kids? And how many in VITAL roles? Poor argument.

boise st 118 and ballin stanford 109 & ballin i can go on if you want me too... lame *** excuse
