Bruh even if we do lose 5 Lbs, one of them is Terry ******* McCray. That doesn't even count as a "loss". Smith and Perry are depth, and not all that great or anything. You only point is maybe 2 of the starters will declare early. About zero chance Zach McCloud is going to be declaring early. Personally I doubt that even 2 leave early. but even if that does happen, we do NOT need 5 LBs in this class dude.Yes DE needs a fix but I think you read over where Ingraham would likely play DE his first year. RDavis could potentially grow into a DE considering he’s 233 right now. Kevin Harris a major longshot and I just don’t see who else would be viable as the 3rd DE in this class. It’s encouraging that Summerrall has been visiting but no guarantee, FSU and UGA pushing very hard for him. It would be bad to just reach for numbers sake.
They need to take 4 LBs minimum, 5 should be max. I don’t think people understand that it’s very very likely we lose 5 after the end of the season and could be a 6th with a transfer with the logjam that is now at SLB.
The type of LB crop this is this year. It is not wise to put a low cap like 3. Yes FL does produce LBs but not at the rate it has this year. Take while the supply is there, we are going to have a ton of departures at LB.
Me and D$ have been on the McIntosh highest ceiling is LB train for a long time but..... they are going to give him every opportunity to shine at RB first. Can’t recruit off a hypothetical like that.
6-7 DL, 4-5 LB and 5 DB sounds about right considering who they have targeted and following the tea leaves.
No matter what we will have McCloud, Jennings, Wilder, Steed, Joyner, AND Derrick Smith - who I feel you are not accounting for.
That makes 6 LBs on the roster. Taking 4 in 2019, gives us 10 total on the roster. Idk how many you think is ideal, but I can tell you for a fact it is not more than 10. We run a 43. We do not need to be more than 10 LBs on the roster.....and thats if we lose 5 LBs like you say.
No matter how you look at it 4 Lbs is all we need. It is WAY more important to be overloaded at DT/DE and DB anyways. I'd rather have 9 LBs and 17 DLineman than 11Lbs and 15Dlineman. we are fine with just 4 bruh. The only LB position I'd be worried about at all anyway is ILB with BJ Jennings.
