If losing Ingraham hasn’t solidified it in most of you guys mind please do not continue reading...

Realistically we are never going to be able to “keep up with the joneses” the bamas, LSU, etc of the world will take whichever blue chip they want

We need to as a staff of course need to be more creative with our recruiting effort. When I say that I don’t just mean taking “2 or 3 star hidden gems” I’m talking about hitting up jucos every single year for at minimum 1 kid at DT/DE and be going through back channels if they hear any kids are wanting to transfer out like a Gerald Willis type

Going forward our trenches need to be of course preferably through high school seniors but we need to start locking in Juco and grad candidates every year

Al ******* golden and dortio left a decent Dline room to coach kool and those boys had **** product on tape to offer

Cristobal, Davis, Diaz

The only person I would want on this list is Diaz........and that's after he's had success at another lower tier football program as a HC. Somewhere like Southern Miss, Tulane, etc....

You're going to see what Oregon looks like come year 3 with Cristobal running the show with all of his players. They'll be a 8-9 win team, but not shot at a natty.

Butch.....loved Butch back in the day. We need an innovative mind at Miami to get us to the next level. I'd rather take a chance on a guy like Jeff Brohm or Matt Campbell, both of whom are ready to move to the next level in the power 5.

Hired Larry Coker with zero HC experience......unmitigated disaster
Hired Randy Shannon with zero HC experience....unmitigated disaster
Hired Al Golden at Wal-Mart prices with HC experience only at Temple, where his best season was 4 losses.......unmitigated disaster

But yeah, let's bring in more guys without HC experience. This site is honestly filled with some of the most unintelligent, reactionary, whiny ****heads on the entire planet.

Justin Hebert made Willie Taggert look like a great HC and an offensive wizard, and now he's doing the same with Mario Cristobal.

It helps when you have a 6' 6" 235lbs QB who can throw a dart and run like the wind and is not a mental midget.

ADs have to start looking at those types of variables when hiring an HC, but what do i know I don't get paid millions of dollars for liability sake.

I'm afraid the state of the program is going to be like Wisconsin, where a New Years Bowl at times is the ceiling and 7 to 8 wins seasons are the floor. Hard reality man.

All have a higher ceiling than richt
No. Cristobal is like 20 games under .500. Davis is older than richt and a worse coach. Diaz has never been a hc and has never even had a elite defense. If they hold up the 2nd half of the season it will be the best year in diaz career.

I don't care if I'm down voted to ****, but Jess Simpson is 110% under qualified for this position.

We screwed up NSD 2018 at DL, so all the talking points were CMR needs to go out and hire an ace defense recruiter & DL coach.

What do we do instead? Elevate Patke and hire Simpson. Boneheaded mood and we're paying the price this week for it.

And look I'm sure Simpson is a good teacher and a good man, but that does not mean he's the best choice for the MIAMI DL coach. I know there are probably 50 better candidates out there than him. CMR really f'd that hire up.

You say that but the d-line looks better than it did under kool. And it looks better with less depth. Yall guys fail to understand that this shît is deeper than just recruiiting.

Mike Gundy, OC before taking over at OSU. Lincoln Riley, no previous HC experience before taking over at Oklahoma. Jimbo Fisher, same. Dabo was a WR coach or some shlt when he got the Clemson gig. Kirby Smart, no previous HC experience. I could go on and on listing successful HCs who didn't cut their teeth at a group of 5 school. Scared money don't make no money.

Instead we should bring in an over the hill nepotistic coach who made a career out of losing to less talented teams.
