It is important to establish turf. To think otherwise is crazy talk. Luckily, since we have so much history, some kids love the U from out of state, express an interest, and we land them. Guys like Gall and Gadbois come to mind of the top of my head, Berrios would be another good example.
I'm actually a fan of what our staff is doing in Jersey. Thats an area we don't compete with a lot of southern schools in, so we can really pitch weather and training conditions to those kids. Guys like AQM and Knighton, would be nice to have a pipeline to them. LA, GA, the Carolinas, and east Texas should be good for a baller every few years as well.
South Florida is great, but I don't mind leaving for linemen, linebackers, and QBs.
