RB Screen???

On that crazy pick he threw he had Martinez wide open right in front of him but decided to try and throw a 40-50 pass back across the middle off his back foot…if he had a Check down would he throw it to him .

It’s y I compared him to Brett Farve. Farve, played back yard football; as a Bears fan I used to hate him. U think u had him, & boom he’s making some unbelievable pass that has no reason being complete or even attempted. Then Packer fans used to hold their breath b/c Farve had so much confidence in his arm, he would make some of the most head scratching throws v. the easy throw.

We get more good than bad, so I’m OK.

Look, we can only throw to the TEs or do RB screens, not both. Dawson heard everyone's complaints about not throwing to the TEs so he done it this year. If you want RB screens, well, you're going to have to wait to next year

to answer your question, no we havent

i dont recall us doing one last year either

it must not be apart of the playbook tbh

Cam gonna Cam.

One night I was layin' down
I heard mama 'n papa talkin'
I heard papa tell mama
"Let that boy boogie-woogie
It's in him, and it got to come out"
And I felt so good
And I went on boogie'n just the same

Dawson doesnt seem to have RB screen in playbook, hasnt called one this season.. Not sure about last year
Called one to Chris Johnson....

CJ out ran the blocks and got tackled for loss.

Hasn't called one since.

I believe it was Temple
Oh last year? Got you.. That is something that needs to be incorporated back in offense, especially since when we see man coverage and guys have our WR locked up..

UNC RB omarion hampton went off against FSU on a couple pass plays and had as screen play to the house..

Yeah, I agree. I just don't see Dawson doing it.

Yeah, I was thinking that something needs to change with our offense.
You’re missing the point — obviously the offense is incredible.

But if we make a playoff run, and have to go against top defenses, you have to change things up by throwing in new wrinkles.

Getting our RBs involved in the passing game seems like an easy addition to our offense.

Plus all our backs have shown value in passing game. Its an easy add and helps keep Dline from pinning ears back and give them something else to think about.

Damien Martinez didn't catch passes at Oregon State, either. Maybe our RBs ***** it up in practice. It's not NCAA 25 where we can just call new exotic plays when we want.

We’ve been running some 21 personnel with 4 and 6 so the screen game could be huge. Leaking one out selling he’s the screener then coming back to the backside wo the other back with the screen setup. 21 personnel and their skill set gives us mad options in the screen / pass game.

You should always be adding wrinkles. We have some dry spots in the middle of the last couple games so it’s ok to self scout and study your tells. That was one of the reasons FSU was somewhat successful against our wr’s, they were sitting on routes at times.

That's great if the wrinkles work. It's like I said last week....every fan base in America has their favorite play that they need the OC to start running. Slants. Screens. Downfield shots. It's possible that we're trying RB screens in practice and it's a disaster.

As many bubbles as we run I think our OL and backs can handle a basic rb screen. At least I’d hope so. I just don’t think Dawson is a fan of them.

A RB slip screen is not “exotic.”

And D.M. is not our only RB.
