Agree, goes for the knockout instead of using proper form to break down and wrap up. Also needs to play with a lot more consistency as he was clearly much better at the begiining of the season last year.

It all starts up front. We can't ask the secondary to cover for 6 seconds or more. If we have any remblance of a pass rush we should be greatly improved.

Same here. I think in time that our best 2 safeties on the roster will end up being Hester/Carter. They're similar players, but I think they could play together at the safety spots and just kill people.

Lol at some of yall. Nobody is close to being ST and I know that. I never said he had a fantastic year or anything like that. I was just simply commenting on his HIGHLIGHT tape. Its suppose to make him look good. All im saying is he moves a lil like ST. Nothing else.

Agree and in all honesty I have a feeling Carter isn't giving Jenkins his job back.

Could be. People are sleeping a little on Jenkins. Carter is a natural at the position and Jenkins is a kid that has barely played it, but flashed big play potential. He definitely has the skills, but it's going to be a war for those spots, especially if Deon is healthy.

I like Jenkins a lot, just like Carter more. I think Bush, Carter, Jenkins and Crawford are all going to play a lot this season, and totally agree that the deoth is breathe of fresh air.
 
Why does Bush always get the benefit of the doubt, like he the safety that not untouchable.... some if you guys need to watch some tape and see who made the plays in the secondary, not just the safeties the entire secondary. Rayshawn doesn't get the credit he should because he's not from South Fla.in my opinion.

I gave him a pass last season because he clearly wasn't healthy. As a freshmen he started playing really well and I'm hoping he makes the jump.

Its not saying much but at times, Bush was our best defensive player as a freshman playing a position he had never really had experience at. Pretty impressive IMO, especially being one of the most athletically gifted players on the team with tons of attitude. It was sad watching him play as a shell of himself. If healthy, just my opinion, but I don't think anyone can overtake him. But he sure will have competition. Carter is a beast and the young guys look good.
 
#6 on a mission this year, he's a front man for one of the spots leaving fall camp, no doubt.

Love the depth this year regardless, like someone posted elsewhere, let the cream rise to the top.

Bush has hit a wall. That Freshman season might've been the best we'll see from him. From what I hear he's still not showing much.

If a player is healthy, and the best you see from him is during his Freshman season, there are broader issues at play.

Deon is a player who can succeed if placed in very specific situations. I don't think he's a true CF or anticipation guy, but (again, if he's healthy) has enough athleticism and ability to make a lot of plays at the college level.

This. It's on his leadership to put him in a position to succeed.
 
I would like to think a season highlight tape is longer than 2 mins...... That said. He is a good player. And we all know the pressure is going to get turned up a lot for someone to step up and be a stud. If you do not there will be someone taking your spot. It's a great problem to have, I just hope the best guy plays. Sometimes it seems like the best film watcher plays.....
