Ray-Ray

This is not some kid who ran off. He is a Cane who made some mistakes. Maybe he didn't live up to our expectations, but he is still family and deserves our support. I am glad he is in NFL and hope he does very well. Why would any Cane want bad things for him?

thing is Al was crediting Ry Ray and actually calling him a leader before the ncaa foolishness caused him to leave. Kid graduated form um...and repped it the whole time....so he is still a cane in my book and always wish him well.

Guess his chic is happy as he is collecting nfl checks after she inadvertently f*cked him over on his sr season

Ray Ray's problem was never his talent, but his head and his heart. Kid never seemed to give 100% consistently. He could make a phenomenal play, and then mentally check out and blow a huge assignment. It was that inconsistency that got him in the dog house and why he didnt excel here. Then all the other problems just sunk his career here. For all the cr@p we gave Shannon over his love of guys like Glenn Cook and Romeo, the reason why those guys started above more talented guys, was because they were consistent. They werent going to make a lot of great plays, but they also werent going to blow a ton of assignments and cost you big.

THAT was the single biggest problem with the MNW heavy class that Shannon brought in, and which eventually sunk him. Lot of guys with talent, but no consistency. Ray Ray was a great example of that.

Do you think that was due to the individuals not having the heart and desire to take them to the next level? Or the coaching that failed to motivate and push the players to bring out the best in them? Ray Ray was from Seminole High, not MNW. You may not have meant to say he was from MNW but that's the way it sounded.

Either way, I think if you have a large amount of kids thinking the way you say they were, it's largely due to the coaching staff not being able to push the kids to get to the next level. Al has done a great job of that so far. Randy could not.

Made 2 tackles in 17 snaps, also made a special teams tackle.

Did have a bad penalty on a punt return, he must not have realized you can't make contact with someone who waves for a fair catch.

He was not very good here at all.

2ND team all acc as a true soph 80 tackles and 4 int lets stop the hating on the kid was a solid safety and would have had a good jr year until the NCAA **** storm came out and ruined his career here. His own fault tho...

He was terribly overrated as a sophomore. His raw stats were okay, but he did not play well that year.
