Ray Ray Armstrong, what's the latest?

I don't want to say anything definitive until I can get it confirmed. However, he has NOT been kicked off and I do not believe he will be.

So much for this prediction. As of yesterday, Ray Ray was in Sanford doing community work. While Golden hadn't told him anything, he thought he'd be suspended but not kicked off.

Sad situation.

apparently not, players on the team knew he was already gone a week or two ago.

Just like they knew Seantrel was gone?

Per Ray Ray himself, he hadn't heard anything definitive as of yesterday. It was in Golden's hands. He has now made his decision.

Yes, absolutely. Ray Ray's problem was that he could not play in space. Had he been closer to the line for scrimmage he could have been a real impact player. It's easy to poke fun at him because he didn't play to our expectations, but Ray Ray would have been a different player had Golden been the coach here when he first arrived. In fact, many of the kids that were recruited by the big programs that signed with us and did not pan out over the past few years would have been better players were it not for the fact that they were not developed and entered into a culture that tolerated mediocrity and entitlement. His dismissal is partly a reflection of that fact. The majority of the blame of course is on him, but he couldn't seem to get that the new regime does not allow what the old regime allowed. But yes I stand by the idea of him being a better LB than safety had he been switched early on and coached up.

Topgoon he is no doubt talented, but I agree with the posters who say he is playing out of position. On defense he should have probably been moved to OLB long ago or moved to TE on offense. Looking forward to seeing what the young guns can do.

Although he hasn't lived up to the hype, RR is a special talent. If he can get focused and work, he could be great. Here's hoping....

You want to take a safety who takes horrible angles and is a bad tackler and put him at LB? LOL

D$ is usually in the know about the team, so it looks like the coaching staff planned to keep him but were overruled by the administration.

From what I'm hearing, Ferman may actually be right for once about NCAA involvement.

So he wasn't as forth coming as he should've been with the NCAA last summer?

Shocking

I've held back on slamming Ray Ray, but if he knowingly misled the NCAA then the kid gloves come off because he continued to play after having done so. So what in fact are you hearing about NCAA involvement?

Only thing is the day it was reported he got kicked off team. Eduardo Clements tweeted" We got better as a team today" You think thats a coincidence?
