Ray Lewis III vs Trinity Prep VIDEO

Not commenting on Lewis, bu that competition is hot garbage. I mean that's embarrassing, I've seen middle school teams more athletic.

Does he have any other offers or interest from other schools?

Nope. Not sure whether he ever would have drummed up much interest but his commitment to us pretty much ended any other school going after him.

Ah.

Well, with a competent coaching staff - and I believe we have one - they can find ways for players to contribute and develop throughout their career here. I feel better about this kid coming with Golden, than had he been a Shannon or Coker recruit.

I wish he was a little bigger. If he was a real 6 foot, we wouldn't be having this conversation because he could play LB. He isn't though.

If he was 6' 195 he'd have the potential to be a starter for us and would, by consequence, have more than 1 offer. I don't see any way he wouldn't be a liability for us at DB with his short stature and lack of range.

i think he can be a role player for us...

- he might be a cb here imo....or a slot guy at wr. Like someone said Kendall Thompkins has been here 5 years on schollie and no one is up n arms (hes a key specials guy).....

-dont look at offers as..him being ray's kid and committing early no schools were going to try...add to it he wasnt a "camp" guy....where he went to all these camps to drum up interest etc...kid know where he was going from birth.
-To me he is a div1 recruit....conf-usa/mac type right now...but with his work ethic, buying into coach al, finding aniche he can be productive for us.

Rohan Marley's kid got a schollie to Tulane off the strength and he is a 5'8 200pd lb...but i guarantee Coach CJ knows kid will bring something to the table for them

The comp reminds me of a lot of what Rayshawn Jenkins played with/against.

Calling a spade a spade but if his name wasn't Ray Lewis III this would be looked at as a Raheem Buxton type early commitment, if not worse. I sort of get it but still hope his old man is paying his way.

Buxton didn't completely dominate his competition, though.

Some of our fans are real ******** on the topic of ray's son. Why not STFU? What is the need of perpetually crapping on the kid? Not one of you melonfarmers even know if he will be on schollie, and yet here you are, whining like punks about him. For no reason. IMNVHO.

Most are giving their honest assessment on RL3 which is done for every other recruit. Didn't know the Ray Lewis name was off limits to discuss on a message board.

Bull****. There is thread after thread where people pile on saying he sucks amd doesnt deserve a scholarship, despite not one of those idiots even knowing if he is slated for one. It's repetitive, unnecessary, gratuitous and disrespectful.

agree

I see what everyone is saying..athletically, hes not that impressive.

That said, HE'S RAY LEWIS' ****ING SEED DUDES! RAY HAS 2 MORE SONS! LET THEM ALL COME IDGAF!!!!

If Ed Reed has a retarded *** kid, let his *** play safety. If Warren Sapp has a transgendered obese kid, let it play kicker. IDGAF. You want these guys around the program as much as possible.

Lol. Part of me agrees.

I mean... the very best coaches in the NCAA miss a ton of future NFL kids every year, and sign obvious future stars that end up transferring to D2 2 years later.

If you (and this is pretty much every fan) evaluates by the obvious, you're going to end up with a ****** roster and a bunch of evaluations determined by laid off mailmen and superfans.

This kid is blowing up statistically, and has RAY ******* LEWIS' DNA RUNNING THROUGH HIM.

But most of all, what means the most to me, more than any of this, is that, our big toe, our Sgt. Hulka, Al ******* Golden, who cares more about our future wins and losses than any of us, being that his kids won't frickin' eat one day if he doesn't win, and his whole career is at stake, offered and accepted his commitment.

End of story as far as I am concerned.

Now if there is some funny business going on... if he's going to walk on or something... great. Al has it covered.

Lock it up.

Actually, East Carolina once had a transgendered player, back in the 70's. He starred on the Merritt Island state championship team back around '72, I think. Nobody knew it at the time.

I honestly dont know what to tell anyone who thinks this kid is a Miami level athlete or even close to it. It really is baffling.

But......but.....he´s RayRay´s kid...this will mean that Ray Lewis will be around the program...which he wouldn´t if his kid wasn´t on scholarship....

How highly recruited was Ray Lewis again? If he has his father's work ethic and desire to be great then the kid CAN'T be a bust, simple as that. His intangibles were off the charts and you just hope he's his father's son.

On top of that, he is Ray ******* Lewis' son... He gets a scholarship even if it's just for depth purposes.
