Speaking of Bama 247, please read this if you guys can, it’s hilarious. It’s way too much for me to screenshot right now, but basically there is one guy who is ****-bent on the notion that Mario would not even have a top 10 class “without NIL.” Most are being rational and regard Mario as one of, if not THE best recruiter they’ve had.

Anyone else who has a sub wanna take a stab at screen shots or no?

We bring a ton back on an offense that avg 35 points approx. We have more experienced qb, alot back on oline anchored by an NFL caliber LT. I think Oline will be fine, we have more than enough for Mirabal/Cristobal to put a unit together. Only question mark is a true #1 WR but we have 3/4 TEs that will play alot and contribute, like 3/4 backs that will also, Chaney is coming off injury but Rooster should take a step and be an impact guy in many ways including passing game. We should avg 40+ a game with what we have coming back. If our QB is a true NFL caliber guy we should light up the scoreboard.

Our issue last year was our defense was trash. We bought in ALOT of pieces and I think with a more sound scheme alone we should be better. I think in DB squad we should be able to lock down majority of teams, not sure who will be able to step up and apply pressure on front 4 but I think we will be solid against the run also, We bring back both our specialist kickers/punters and schedule sets up as much as you can expect. There is talent on this team, we can get 10 wins. Set the bar at 9-3 regular season, below that will be disappointing some

Let's not forget the coaching will be much better too. While I liked Lashlee, Gattis should be solid. The only position that'll be a wash is TE due to retaining Field. Everywhere else has been upgraded significantly.

If we get 2nd half of the season Will Mallory instead of 1st half that will be a nice bump

We will score a ton of points on offense. Our TEs should absolutely feast under Gattis and we have a very good stable of running backs. We need 1-2 WRs (in addition to Restrepo) to really emerge & become a force.

On Defense, my biggest takeaway from the Spring game was just how improved the tackling is. LBs were playing a much more physical brand of ball. Steele & Strong will have our LBs playing much better. Our DBs should be really good. Will be interesting to see how much our pass rush has improved over last year. The transfers and the younger players on DL will largely dictate that (absent significant improvement from Harvey & Chantz). We will have a very good pass rush in the years ahead -- potentially elite. This upcoming season should see significant improvement over last year and be a bridge to a very stout defense next year. Adding top recruits like Popo will accelerate the process of returning to the type of defense we had during all of our glory years.

Agree 100%. His start last season was baffling. Then he became the pass catcher we knew he could be. Arroyo was another head scratcher but from how we would go to him only a few times. Kid produced and then we forgot about him the rest of the game.

Yeah suddenly Will figured out how to catch and he was catching really tough passes too

One thing with Gattis is we won’t need to worry about Arroyo and Mallory getting the ball. He’s gonna be a kid in a candy store with the TE position
