Considering this was basically his freshman year, i think this kid will be a huge improvement over gaines. they were loyal to gaines but towards the end of the season when kirby was on the field, he plays the game faster and more physical. he likes to hit. Gaines just pushed people. Then again, he cant be worse than gaines.

How do you guys feel about Kirby?

Too early to tell. Didn't really see much that impressed me. Looked a little slow out there....

We'll see if that tentativeness was because he was unsure if his assignments, or if he lacks the speed and instincts that will allow him to excel.

D'Onofrio is going to ruin him. If he is anything we'll see his best days in the NFL

WTF? Seriously, woe is me....get over it. Can we now get back to REAL discussions on here instead of this world is ending and every sucks BS?? ****, this is getting worse than Grassy.

I think Kirby will be an improvement with another year under his belt because he has the physical tools to make an impact. Gaines just didn't have the speed to play in space and pursue sideline to sideline.

with all do respect, coach d didnt ruin denzel, tracy, crawford, gunter, figs, so far and he got more than we expected out of olsen pierre.

Go replay the USF game. Kid was a beast in that game.

Perryman, Figs, Kirby, McCord will be the best LBs since 2005.

D'Onofrio WILL ruin him.

you guys sound like idiots. who did he destroy? eddie johnson, denzel, figs, etc. the guys they brought in have progressed. if you want to say he couldn't develop the shannon left overs, that's fair but cut the dumb crap.

Most players look like beasts when playing USF. People were tripping about Crawford being a good back after USF.......

Kirby will have a great year. I'll be optimistic and say the D will surprise us all and only give up 200 a
game next season. I hope that Golden and D'Onofrio are not inept and won't listen to the players and make
drastic changes. Is that too much to ask?

Ok.....

I think Kirby is very talented. Loved him as a prospect and saw possible 4 year starter ability. Late this past year his play seemed a bit tentative and spotty and I didn't see enough of the explosion I saw from him previously. I think he bulked up to fast and struggled to adapt.

The real question with Kirby is if the staff can get the most out of him. Frankly, given this staff's penchant for forcing players into a weight/scheme that is ill suited to their ability, I doubt they can or will but hope like **** I'm wrong.
