I'm not saying we are overrated. I'm just wondering if people will apply the same reasoning to us as they do to other teams. Some claimed that FSU and Clemson are overrated bc of BC. Others said Missouri is way overrated, or Ohio State. The list goes on.

And TA&M has some issues on defense, but their offense is extremely impressive. Manziel is a big-time playmaker.

Frankly, I hate the entire ranking system. It's completely flawed, which is proven every year. That's why I'd love to see a 16-team playoff,

By people do you mean VOTERS or POSTERS. If it is posters, it is irrelevant.

I think the difference is some teams haven't beaten a quality team yet (UL, FSU and OSU) so a close game means more. We beat a quality team. Clemson beat a quality team. Missouri beat a quality team (although they are screwed without their QB).

As for TAMpon, they lost to a quality team and have yet to beat a quality team. They have a great QB but unless Bama loses 2 games and TAMpon wins out, they're not going to the SECCG.

Exactly!! UGA stayed in the top 10 with 1 loss and needing a last second play to beat North freaking Texas!! Then triple OT to beat TN...

Beating UNC at home on a Thurs nite isnt going to hurt us.

Some of u guys need to pay attention to othe CFB games before saying stupid **** like we are overrated, or we dont deserve to be top 10.

Not defending UGA at all, because I agree with your premise and argument, but UGA beat North Texas by 24. It was 21-21 in the 3rd though.

I'm referring to the posters, bc I read this board every day (and probably too **** much).

I believe the voters, with rare exception, attempt to be as unbiased as they can in their rankings. Reasonable minds can disagree w/ their assessments, and that is expected. But that is a function of the flawed system that is CFB.

It's the blind homerism and hypocrisy of many posters that gets old.

You and me both. Who cares what the posters say? They don't matter at all.

The posters are gonna post, it is what it is. It never gets old the stuff you read on a message board.
 
If UiF loses this weekend you can take that win off the quality win column. It will turn into how they were so overrated to start the year. Injuries and probably the worse OC in college football is their problem.
 
ask Stanford & Michigan what they think about our close win...
