Ranking our draft eligible non-seniors & odds they leave

I'm with Wildcat on Feliciano. He's a god **** beast who would rip your head off on the field, he plays nasty as they come.

I think people don't even understand what we have on the OL. Feliciano, Linder, Henderson, Flowers are legit NFL starters. McDermott and Bunche are good college OL. This OL has the potential to be the best we have ever had from an NFL stand point. I still think the 2001 OL will be tough to beat because they just had that special chemistry but I expect big thing from this group.

Here is who I am worried about leaving early. Golden did a great job of keeping all of last seasons NFL prospective juniors like Linder and Seantrel and there were grumblings of Porter.

Lets fast forward ahead to January 2014 and see who we can count on coming back for a national title run in 2014.

Again, this is just for fun, and also remember that a player only needs to be 3 years from HS to be eligible.

QB - Ryan Williams - will be back for '14 unless he plays for an injured Morris and lights it up

HB - Dallas Crawford - could turn pro if he somehow dominates this season. I would think he will be back for '14

WR - Phillip Dorsett - I predict he has an outstanding season and leaves early
WR - Rashawn Scott - I predict he has an OK season, but may get sick of college life like Streeter did and bolt early. 50-50 with this kid for '14

TE - Clive Walford - He will have a great season, his degree, and will leave for the NFL. Hope I am wrong.
TE - Beau Sandland - He will have a nice season, but will have an adjustment, and will come back for '14

OT - Taylor Gadbois - will play and will return for '14 to compete for starting spot

OG - Malcolme Bunche - will play, will be decent, will return for '14 and should be a starter & team leader
OG - Jonathan Feliciano - will play, will be decent, will return for '14 as a veteran starter
OG - Hunter Wells - will play backup duty, will return for '14 to compete

C - Shane McDermott - will play, will improve the most this season on OL, will return for '14 as team captain and help transition his lil bro and a new QB

DE - Anthony Chickillo - will play, will be ALL ACC, will be forced to decide early round NFL money vs leaving with a legacy of a national title in '14. 50-50
DE - Dwayne Hoilett - will play, will improve, will return in '14 to compete for starting spot
DE - David Perry - wont play much, will return in '14, definately no NFL or I will crap my pants if he leaves early after this season

DT - Olson Pierre - will play, will be ALL ACC, will be in same boat as Chickillo, I think he bolts for NFL unfortunately
DT - Corey King - will play, will improve, will return in '14 to compete for starting spot
DT - Jalen Grimble - will play, will improve, will return in '14 to compete for starting spot

OLB - Denzel Perryman - will play, will be ALL AMERICAN, will leave early for NFL and be 1st LB taken in draft. We will miss this kid more than anyone even Morris
OLB - Thurston Armbrister - will play, will improve, will return in '14 for starting spot

CB - Ladarius Gunter - will play, will improve, will return in '14 as veteran starter

K - Matt Goudis - will play, will return in '14 to kick some game winning FGs on way to national title.

Laugh all you want at this post, but I always worry about kids leaving early for NFL since our university pretty much hypes up thats what Cane football is all about - getting to the NFL it seems.

But in 2014 we are winning the national title!
Denzel Perryman will be the only one that truly has a decision to make and I will wait to see what round he's projected to go in. If the kids are not projected to go in the first, they will stay. My best GUESS. I do think Morris and Henderson go in the first round if they stay healthy. Al Get's It. I do worry that Dion "could" apply for a hardship waiver. If that happens, I hope he goes as high as possible.

Another delusional Miami fan who is living in his own head replaying 30 for 30 on an endless loop rather than watching the garbage we've fielded for a bit less than a decade..

Everyone single one is coming back. There are no 1st round talent on our team that are underclassmen. Some will set themselves up for their senior year to give themselves a chance to get drafted on the first day after their senior year.

The guys who have left early the last couple years have not drafted very well. NFL loved the old U because the kids came out a couple years advanced of other college kids and NFL ready. Then for several years will had the greats from Butch. Lately it has been talent that was underdeveloped that could be taken late and cheap but needed time to develop. Golden is working today's kids harder and we might return to preferred draft status but not yet. If DP was following Ray or Dan or Wilma then someone would grab him early-if he has big year. But right now, he is the one that has to restart the image, so I don't he goes 1st round at all. Best he return and play on 2014 team where other players like TV and Chad will enable him to make 100 plus tackles and conjure up memories of days gone by of Linebacker U. That said, an agent might get in his ear and mislead him into thinking he is 1st round. Dorset had played a lot and will have 2 years as started. Speed and experience sells. If he catches the big balls in the UFelon game it will erase the image of ND drops and he could go high and might leave.

That's the most silly post ever. Wow. We have a lot guys blowing up and being all Acc etc. only one who will have a decision to make is dp. Dorsett isn't ready for the nfl. No effing way.

Don't be surprised if Dorsett has a big season and goes pro.

He's not getting any taller, and his game is uniquely suited to playing with Morris. Guys like Scott and Waters can still play to their strengths with a weak-armed QB, but Dorsett needs Morris to fully utilize his deep speed.

I could see him as a 2nd-3rd rounder with a good season. Better route runner than Benjamin, and he will run sub 4.4.

I expect to lose Perryman. The key guy is Pierre. We lose him and HOLY **** OMG NOOOOOOOO at our 2014 DT group.

Not worried about dt group going forward. We are gonna have to plug in some jucos here for awhile.
Dorsett would have to stay healthy and have a good year.

I dont see any special juniors, and that includes Perryman, going into this year. None. Zero. That said, a couple could have some special years and given the fact that we have the talent and schedule for a 10 win + season, ya just never know what agent shows up and starts whispering in ears.
