I'll be in the minority here, but Travis Homer tops my list. Kid is going to be in the NFL for sure.

I think you'd be hard pressed to find a recent class of ours (or anyone's, really), that had so few fliers. We got kids who can play and very few "projects". That's gonna make ranking this group tough.

Exactly right Swagger. No real fillers. Johnson has a high upside but is very raw and won't be seeing meaningful time for a while. James JR has great potential. only played one year. & anything Coach Kool thinks is a take i'll trust him (Martin)

This is tough because it's a pretty consistent group, but I'll do my best:

1. Joseph Jackson- Best talent in the class paired with the best coach on the staff.
2. Ahmmon Richards- Just as good as Stacy Coley coming out with better maturity. Hard to see him going bust.
3. Shaquille Quarterman- The next great Miami MIKE. His smarts separate him from the rest.
4. Zach McCloud- Just scratching the service. I could see him developing into a Navarro Bowman-type player.
5. Jack Allison- He has a lot of growing to do, but he has the right coach to develop him. High ceiling.
6. Sam Bruce- Alpha personality who should dominate in the slot.
7. Travis Homer- Youngest player in the class. He has the potential to develop into a complete back.
8. Mike Pinckney- Leader and pure linebacker. I can see him contributing early.
9. Dionte Mullins- Grades are the issue, but if he stays on course he has a future on Sundays.
10. Jovani Haskins - Huge body and bigger upside.
11. Malek Young- Versatile football player who should contribute early.
12. Pat Bethel- Hard-worker who should develop well with Coach Kool.
13. Mike Irvin, Jr.- One of the more underrated players in the class. Complete player with high football IQ.
14. Romeo Finley- Brings a much needed physical presence to secondary.
15. Jeff James- If he stays out of trouble, he will outperform this ranking. Natural football player.
16. Tre Johnson- High risk, high reward. Will need to adjust to competition level but has the tools.
17. Cedrick Wright- One of my favorite pure football players in the class. Size/speed limit him but he can play.
18. Tyreic Martin- Has a chance to be productive in this system. Very good fit.

Another question is : How many of the 18 will be contributors? We wont know for a couple of years but here is how past classes have done.

Below are the number of players who have seen a respectable amount of playing time per class

2011--- 7 of 20 (7 saw playing time out of 20 signed)
2012----11 of 33
2013----10 of 18
2014----17 of 27

Coach Kool did say they are considering moving Bethel inside to tackle. He thinks Bethel has the frame to fill in and play the position.

This group of recruits are hard to rank, but I'll go with a Top 5 of:

Joe Jackson - under Coach Kool by the time he leaves UM he will be a top NFL draft pick

Sam Bruce - dynamic playmaker with the ball in his hands, can change games

Shaq - is near college ready now, will make an impact year one, and is another that will eventually play on Sundays

Jack Allison - a top 10 HS QB, should be a good one by the time he leaves UM

Pat Bethel - in an attacking style D he should develop into a disruptive, All ACC type player

Downvoted by accident. Richards is legit as it gets. Coley was a little faster but I think Richards is a little tougher.

A good mix of offense and defense in this class. The more I read about it, the more excited I am for this transition class. We are lucky the coaches on staff kept recruiting after Golden's firing. I don't know who led that charge, but props to them.

1. Bruce - Best route runner in the class nationwide, knows how to alter db hip movement, advanced trait like I've been saying for some time now
2. Jackson - Could star at DE or TE, his determination will be key
3. Mullin - best hands guess my prediction he would shine in all-star game was on point back in another thread
4. Richards - Sky is the kimit
5. Shaq - Attacks, pass coverage skills will determine his pt the first year
6. Allison - great ball placement
7. Wright - highly highly underrated, his production will be based off how he is used, he is not a nickel IMO but at free safety he is not scared to attack the ball in air
8. Homer - Young and will improve, he is a complete back, will get faster once he cleans his running form up which is scary
9. McCloud - aggressive, one of my fav recruits, will have to see if his speed relates to college
10. Bethel- highly underrated, do not let the all-star game fool you, this kid is good
11. Young - talking about dynamic, he is not a nickel though, in college I witness a lot of coaches trying to turn guys his size into nickels, its a hit or miss
12. Finley - very strong kid, needs to work on footwork and getting faster from sideline to sideline
13. Pinckney - stud lb, very smart and times plays well
14. Martin - I seen something in his film some may have missed, this is not a special at all, in my eyes he is a steal at the dt position based off senior film
15. Irvin
16. Johnson
17. Haskin
18. James

Here's how I view it:

Stars/NFL:
Travis Homer
Shaq
Joseph Jackson
Ahmonn Richards
Dionte Mullins

Multi-year starters
Sam Bruce
Jack Allison
Malek Young
Romeo Finley
Zach McCloud
Mike Pinckney

Contributors
Jovani Haskins
Patrick Bethel
Ced Wright
Jeff James

Busts
Tyreic Martin
Tre Johnson
Michael Irvin II

If this comes to pass, it will be a great class. They guys I had the hardest time evaluating were Bethel (anywhere from a pro to a bust), Ced Wright and Martin (Coach Kool loves this kid so I wavered).
