I don't understand the conflicting reports. So Randy Shannon told EVERYONE (coaches, players, etc.) to stay away from Shapiro but Phillips said "the university was aware of everything"? That right there shows you how out of touch Shannon was with reality if true. If it isn't true then Shannon better get a lifetime ban from college football. I have so much hate for that man (Shannon).

Guys, we all know that a lot of what Shapiro said is true. UM knows it or we wouldn't have self imposed Shiit.
The key is that nobody significant broke the omertà code while the investigation was going on.

Our punishment is going to depend upon how much value falling on our sword won us.
From the ESPN article it sounds like vacated wins from past years, scholarship reductions and some form of a television ban.

If they give us an additional bowl ban, I'm hoping we have a graduate like Timothy McVeigh who is willing to make a road trip to Indy.

The thing that ****es me off the most is this "article" has been written for weeks it seems, and the POS newspaper had it ready and waiting for this exact time. They knew how the procedure worked. It was not a coincidence this story dropped tonight. News media my ***. Journalism is dead, this **** is no better than TMZ intended to drive up readers. What is alleged in the article isn't shocking or hasn't been anything we haven't heard before.

We're not getting a television ban. Penn State didn't even get one and the NCAA pretty much apologized to them for being too harsh and reduced their sanctions.

You want to know how nobody knows sht? Cause any reputable news organization (cough, cough) that thinks in 2013 any school is getting a TV ban, thereby blacking out their OPPONENTS from TV in the process, UNDERMINING ESPN and ABC for millions of dollars, absolutely knows crap and didnt even do one degree of logical thought in putting together their speculation

No, he did no such thing. Again, read the way the article is written. Randy Phillips is the victim. For shapiro to be the villain this stuff must be true. The narrative cannot be that its all a lie but shipiro is the bad guy. Its not that these kids wanted his attention, its that they were forced into this lifestyle because of the NCAA. I believe you will see this play out in this manner.
