I know speaking on Gator players is a cardinal sin around here, but I need a refresher as to what actually happened with his recruitment.

If I recall correctly he really wanted to be here.

Golden didn't want him?

The chatter was that he wanted to play cb but we preferred at safety. Not surprisingly, ufs defensive staff was at the time a lot more intelligent in evaluating Quincy than our staff at the time.

Yeah I really didn't know I could do that because I've only been on here since 2012 like you.

That **** was made up by Golden apologist. Quincy even said he was never offered at all by Miami.

Mayes only played one year (his senior year) with Luke, so I don't think he was a "Luke" special. And didn't Luke criticize him early in the season, basically calling him soft? I think Mayes was a camp-offer special.

He outplayed Mayes at a camp and Mayes got an offer.

Mayes wasnt a Luke kid..he was a Dr.Krop kid who transferred to MNW his sr year..Luke actually got on him about his physicality.

It was just oor , poor recruitment. Quincy Wilson wouldve been a take just for his ability on specials and ability to play both s/cb.

Quincy was a legacy with great tools and connections. You had to offer him.

He looked bad at safety, but his dad was right-- he's a cornerback.
