PETER or ANYONE is their some reason why this kid has not got an offer? He has been to the camps, Jr days, and over 28 offers. If we don't offer this kid, I feel Al Golden is making a mistake in my opinion.

Peter mentioned this yesterday, but he said the staff is only going to be taking 3 dbs this cycle. So far there are several offers out there and the fact that Quincy hasn't gotten one likely means he won't be getting one. He has been to camps, and the staff has probably evaluated him thoroughly.

I for one hope he gets an offer. I think he'd make a really good safety.

I've been told it's just as simple as them not liking his game

Pete, I have to say I doubt that's the case. The coaches will "teach" him his game. I would think they are looking at physical attributes right now more than his "game" or style. I mean, I don't think they are going to sit and say "this kid's too aggressive", more likely "he doesn't have great hips" or something like that. IMHO.

The reason I've been told is that they think he's stiff and slow but TIFWIW

Thanks Pete, that makes more sense although I trust the staff....I really don't see that as an issue.

He has poor technique for a corner & would be a safety or OLB. His latest highlights are not good. And by the way those were his "highlights". Unless he shows solid skilled improvement I highly doubt he gets offered. Hess very physical player & in done one on one footage he basically beat the crap out of a WR. No way this guy isn't getting called for defensive holding playing like that. I posted his highlights in a previous thread but as of right now I'm not a fan.

I have always liked him but my opinion was based purely off highlights and camp footage. Those guys who have seen him multiple times in person don't seem to be nearly as high on him as guys like me so I gotta defer to the ones who have actually seen him in games with their own eyes.

I thought we would bring him in because he is a legacy that also has a ton of upside if he can find his spot. Valid compared it to Coley but the talent was never a question with Coley, so holding off on a grade/attitude problem is different than a talent problem.

Every year these are these so called studs in the Miami area that Golden does not offer.

Bosa is one, and I guess Kirkland as well and now Wilson. There has to be something that our coaches see that repels them.

I trust the staff because there hasn't been a case where the kids we didn't offer went on to become beasts

2 questions I have

1) Why is he not viewed as an elite safety prospect

2) Why have all of these other teams offered

Why would they only take 3 DBs when Rodgers and Highsmith are both Seniors? I understand not taking Wilson as a CB, but why not a S if he's physical. I always thought that was a good thing for a S. I think a minimum of 4 DBs need to be added in 2014.
