You said 177 yards Duvie, is that Rushing total? I assume it is. Frankly he needs more then that and about 45+ yards receiving. He needs at least 2 scores. If he does those things then the Heisman train should start pulling away and deservedly so. Cause We win the game when he posts those numbers.

1) duke didnt do anything against better comp
2) duke thereby feasted on subpar comp
3) and that's okay....
4) for them saying Duke is the second coming, they all only predict between 1-1500 yards rushing for him this year. If he is the once-in-a-lifetime back(and i hope he is for OUR sakes and for YOUR sanity) then you should be predicting between 2-2500 yards.

Duke only had 6 carries against KSU, 8 against ND, and 9 vs. FSU. Barely enough to even get in the groove. He was a freshman, and had limited carries. As for second coming, using your requirements, even some of the best backs in college football history wouldn't count. Especially in our offensive system where 2-2500 yards with even the best back ever would require a complete change in our play calling.

...except that in no way indicates a lack of talent or ability against top teams, just a lack of opportunity. He is clearly one of the best backs in college football.

That's what I'm trying to understand. The level of back you think he is. For example, I guessed 226 carries for 1266 yards, but I think he's a superstar and the closest thing to Ladanian Tomlinson in the last decade. For comparison's sake, I think he's an entire cut above Giovani Bernard, who is already making noise as a rookie RB for the Bengals. So, pretty much just trying to understand the specific level you see.

Maybe a comparison or two (not in style, but production/potential) would help us out.
