Quarterbacks in the ACC

LOGAN from VT went 23-25 against us that is pretty accurate.

Did you see our secondary last year? He probably should've went 25-25.

I was about to say something to that effect. I'd guess that nearly every QB that faced us put up better than their average numbers last year.

I did the math, and Thomas' completion % was almost 60% for the year, but if you take away our game, he's a cool 57%. By comparison, Jacory on the year last year was 65%, and 60% for his career at Miami.

3% drop doesn't sound like much when you take away our game, but we made him look a lot better than he did against the rest of their schedule last year. Against us: 92%. Against the rest of VT's opponents: 57%. Those numbers are pretty stark.

That being said, like I said in my last post on this thread: Beamer/Stinespring will probably want him to pass more from the pocket this year instead of run, so they have to be drilling him on reading coverage better and hitting the high percentage stuff to keep the chains moving. If he takes to that well, VT will be good in the air. If he doesn't, then Thomas will probably be their 2nd leading rusher and will be risking injury all year long.

VT's defense is going to be pretty good this year, but I'm telling you now--if Thomas goes down, their offense won't be worth goat **** with Leal at the helm, and they'll lose some games they wouldn't with Thomas in there.

I don't really care for stats, all I know is VT is generally a well coached football team, they will always give us problems from all 3 phases of the game.

Logan Thomas might be the #1 pick next year if he improves as much this year as last (yeah theres Barkley but Thomas has a lot more physical tools).
And D$ and I are probably the two biggest Morris supporters on this board, I think the kid is a future star.

ACC is loaded with QB talent.

:cigar:

I didnt realize logan thomas was this good. I know hes got the size but can he play in an NFL offense?

he's not that good - at least not #1 pick good. could still be a high pick cause you can't teach his size, physical tools and for the most part he plays within himself. with that said, i'd guess his numbers are about the same this year cause no Danny Coale catching everything on 3rd down. Still have nice WRs overall but I'd expect a step back. Not having a STUD RB won't help either since teams probably won't be looking to load the box as much. so he might improve as a QB and not see his numbers also improve.

Please take down EJ pic he is a trash can

^

I'm not the biggest EJ fan, but he's a guy that could go as high as the first round and is a productive college player.

What has he done in his college career other then have a lot of hype and injuries?

Like I said, I'm not a huge fan of the guy. I think he's a Jason Campbell-type at best. But he does have talent and was one of the more efficient quarterbacks in the country last year.

Was thinking the same thing. Hard to do that just playing two hand touch. Not sure he's a number one pick, but I agree with D$ that the QBs in the ACC as a group are really good.
