I like Maiava for this reason also. If in fact he is the reason Branch bros are visiting. He would do well within our scheme, oline and running game.

If USC insiders are saying that they don't expect him to enter, and it is in fact past the date he can enter the portal (but not past the 2 days for them to report it) then that'd seem to indicate to me he didn't submit the paperwork to enter....

It’s amazing every other site has all this info that’s confirmed and told and the Canes sites you have to read every tea leaf and then hope the tea doesn’t shift lol

The only thing I keep thinking is that Gaby is hinting pretty hard that something is in the works. And you have the Branch brothers visiting. No idea who or what it could be at this point but at least there’s some hope.

I hope the rumors of a revamped recruiting dept are true.

There was no Cam Ward out there this year. Ward was a 10.
Mateer isn’t that either. He was a solid 8, 8.5

Lots of qbs that were solid 7, 7.5 in the portal this year that we could have had already and we passed on them all and now the only options are 5 or 5.5s.

It’s true but a revamped recruiting department can’t do anything if Noodle Arm-Cement Leg Williams is your QB1 next year.

You need a QB1 yesterday but Wario is still ******* around like he had Prime Peyton Manning in his QB room.

When we start developing/ producing consistent NFL guys at positions like db, lbs, dline, oline and QB, then the recruiting will become easy. Take Hartline for example. He isn’t some magical recruiter. He’s just had first rounders every year for the last 6-7 drafts. WRs line up just to play for him

Also people like you and @Alex Del Piero where the same people that probably criticized Mario this time last year when the only qb we were pursuing was a kid that was “declared” for the NFl draft. Just wait and see how it plays out

yeah, I criticized and I do not regret it at all because his strategy was very dangerous and the fact that he tried the same thing this year makes me think that he do not understand how close to the disaster we were if Cam had stayed in the draft.

Eventually Wario will learn the hard way, it might be as soon as next year if thing do not change drastically in the next days.
