Bama has been trying to get rid of Milroe since Saban made a run at TVD and then went for the Reese/Tyler Buchner combo. They even tried starting Buchner, who is not very good. I’m guessing DeBoer will want to move on.

I haven't followed the kid closely, but he made some surprisingly impressive throws in games I saw and commentators noted he improved certain aspects of his game. Could be expectation bias on my part, but it's possible he was asked to do more in Deboer's offense and that exposed him a bit.

It's entirely conceivable that, despite down numbers in Deboer's offense, he developed and is a better passer today than he was at this time last season.

That's not DeBoer's guy or his type of Qb. He is a winner, but they've had to tailor and somewhat limit the offense for him (which to be fair, we'd probably have to do here as well if he came).

Also, the situation for him is becoming a bit toxic in Tuscaloosa, and I'll just leave it at that.

Betting money says he goes Pro -- which would be dumb. GM's and HC's are notoriously arrogant, and I'm sure there's more than a few who think they can develop him, but after the Anthony Richardson saga this year, no team is going to gamble on him Round 1.

I give Saban a ton of credit on that one. Rees was trying to scapegoat Milroe. Saban folded and gave Buchner a try, and after one game of that he sat Rees' *** down and told him to change the entire the offense and call plays Milroe excelled at. Basically Qb draws and the deep ball. Pretty much saved their season.
