QBS in the Portal as of 11/28

I just spent the last 20 minutes looking for any sourcing to substantiate this rumor and came up empty. The NU fan boards seem to think this started with 247 using a stock Raiola photo for their portal coverage articles. As far as I can tell, no national reporter has said they have heard Raiola is going to transfer at all yet, let alone to Miami.

Id be happy to be wrong though.

Your analysis is correct

He was on a cover article that made no mention of it and Bud Elliott talked about it
 
Pretty sure it all started with that guy on Twitter just bull****ting and talking about his relation playing for Miami

I just told you why he would say that. If he's not coming here it's probably better to stop the board from snowballing into a Raiola slurp fest.
 
I haven’t put it past Rhule to have started this rumor himself. Team sucks and Matt sucks…. Why not try to gas up the team. What better way then to start this rumor to say “Miami tried to steal our QB and we didn’t let it happen” to build up the W story.

Miami paid the most for a QB last cycle. And they don't have one yet this cycle. It would be wise to bring up Miami if you're an agent looking for a ton of money.

Here’s the bit from the article that has him as the cover photo. Nothing specific to Miami, but it’s not like he wasn’t mentioned as a transfer candidate at all.

I remember last year the whole Ward vs. Howard debate. Who was the better fit for our offense? There was no bad decision as it was Option 1 vs. Option 1A, etc.

Well…it turns out there is a vast difference between Ward and Howard and we landed on the right side of that debate.

Time will tell if we can catch lightning in a bottle again.

Feel like most of that debate was just cope because folks didn't think Cam was coming here. I know I twisted myself into a pretzel thinking Howard would be good cause he's tuff and fyzikal (yet not good at throwing the ball)

There was only a debate with people that hadn’t actually watched the two but looked at stats. Was never close. There’s a gap between Mateer and the next guy this year but it won’t be nearly as wide.
