QB Luke Nickel signs with the Canes

Doing that to Lee county is insane. Just dropped 56 (and I think accounted for every TD in the game) on a top 25 team in the nation.

I kinda eased off the Nickel hype train earlier this year but apparently it was an ankle injury he couldn’t shake.

Kid is the goods. I’m back on the Sam Howell comp train. Get me a QB for 2025 and then give this kid the keys
I was waiting on someone to make this comment! I picked them to win but to blow Lee county out! 😮‍💨

I would hope the same and if that’s the case, hopefully the coaches have been open and honest with both kids. Would hate to lose a kid to the portal or have him not sign because of bad communication.
That doesn't seem likely in the transfer day and age. Nobody wants to be a backup for to long if they are talented and seems like spring games are used to scout other teams backup QBs and then lure them into the portal.

Yep. Lee County has 3 4 stars on their defense.

A DL signed with Georgia Southern (how they got a 4 star idk), DL signed with Florida, and a top 200 player at Safety in the 2026 class
The state final will be an interesting one b/c everyone keeps underestimating Langston Hughes

Langston has an elite offense but they won’t be able to slow down Milton.

2 4 star OL, a 4 star TE, and a 4 star RB on Langston Hughes.

I thought Milton would struggle more with Lee County’s RB but they negated it by just lighting up the scoreboard early. They couldn’t run it after that trying to keep up.

And Atkins at DT kid has wrecked a lot of games for them this year...undersized right now at 6'2 225 but his mom is 6 feet and dad is tall as well if he hits a growth spurt this summer his recruitment could blow up

My buddy’s son plays WR for Langston Hughes. I went to their second playoff game. They have a very good offense but their D is not special.

The TE is a junior but will be really good. He’s a match up problem.

Have been on the Nickel fan bus since early on when he was a three star and his only offers were from teams like Louisville, Georgia Tech and USF. Felt Dawson had found a gamer who could develop into a baller. Which is exactly what has happened. This kid is the goods. So is Coleman. Wil be very hard to keep both.

It would be a good problem to have ..one really good QB decides he has to transfer because he's sitting behind an even better QB

I like how he stuck with Miami even though his stock rose and started getting more P4 offers.

I’m certainly no QB guru but his sophomore film I saw a ton of throwing to spots. It wasn’t the typical throw to the wide open guy high school stuff that eventually gets in trouble in college and the pros

I asked if his dad was a coach or something because his knack for the position was wild. Certainly made up for anything he lacked in arm strength or throwing ability (at the same)

His IQ just looked off the charts so young
