QB decision

I mean, it could mean both QB's said yes. I think all Cribby said is UM no longer needs a QB. If they knocked it out of the park with Howard, which they seemingly did based on his interview or comments to 247 and he said ok im in and the response was always well we also want to give Ward a look but he has a Wed deadline then Ward also said yes it very well could be a UM decision on which to pick and one gets the greenlight and the edit will drop today.

i have watched Howard's highlights but not yet watched Ward's.....I trust the staff knows way more than I do
The staff that didn’t take a knee? Ok

Hayes Fawcett is having a tough time putting in a massive dump truck full of money in the commit graphic so its slowing things down.

I hope it's a mountain of cash bigger than Hard Rock Stadium. Who cares if other teams fans say we bought someone, **** yeah we did and we have the cash to do that and more. Signal to everyone in the transfer and high school market that we pay and those checks don't bounce.

This doesn't necessarily contradict what Cribby said. I think someone else already proposed that Howard may have said he wants in and they're simply waiting for Ward's decision. That would back up Cribby's statement that we are not looking for a QB anymore. He didn't say which QB we got.
I don't care who SAYS they want in, you don't have a QB until the paperwork is signed.

Further, I believe the paperwork IS signed and Cribby wouldn't have posted it otherwise (he has a lot of experience with these things), they're just waiting to make the official announcement.

Brad in Twitter Spaces is saying now that basically we have both Will Howard and Cam Ward "committed" in the sense that they both want in.

Decision, as most have alluded to here, is between which QB our staff wants. They were fully expecting to be all-in on Cam but were blown away by Howard and it's a harder decision than expected.

We don’t need Mario overthinking this one. If Cam wants in that’s the obvious choice. Make it happen.

[/tooled.

If that is true, then it cannot be overstated what an insanely amazing job our entire athletic department has done in essentially securing commitments from the top two QBs in the portal. From coaches to boosters to marketing and logistics, truly masterful.

If it's up to Mario to choose... we should have this thing locked up a day or 2 before spring practice

This is called damage control. Just like when you're breaking it off with a girl to choose a different one; "it's not you, you're perfect, it's all me (us)". There is respect there for all parties and you don't want to burn bridges. If they both want in, I can't imagine one of them reading the boards last night was very happy.

Great spot to be in

This whole "doesn't want to play for Mario" thing is TOTALLY in contrast to actual offensive productivity. Look at Miami's offensive WR production compared to "the undefeated national champion FSU" and their NFL bound WR's:

MIAMI
-Restrepo 993 yards
-George 851 yards
-Young 563 yards
TOTAL 2307 YARDS

FSU

-Coleman 658 Yards
-Wilson 617 Yards
-Bell 503 yards
TOTAL 1778 yards

Miami also has a similar lead in RB production from top RB's/

MIAMI
-Parrish 579
-Fletcher 512
-Chaney 478
-Allen 350
TOTAL 1919

FSU
-Benson 905
-Toafila 463
-Hill 190
TOTAL 1558

Miami accomplished this DESPITE having major QB consistency issues for 75% of the season, while FSU was operating with a Heisman candidate. Imagine the WR productivity if UM had had a CONSISTENT QB running the offense and was SEEING THE FIELD, going to open receivers for YAC??
This offense WORKs and just needs the right QB to totally light up the ACC. Ward running Dawson's offense will take Miami to the ACCCG and further.
There is NOTHING WRONG with Mario's QB management ... so far at Miami is has been EXECUTION.
Or that's cause TVD was terrible and would focus too much on those 3.

WTF?? Yeah ... so by mistake we had TWO WRs' who had dramatically more production than FSU's two NFL bound WR's. If you read the comments .... I stated that that production was attained IN SPITE OF THE FACT we had QB inconsistency issues for 75% of the season. Imagine what we could have had with a QB who was seeing the field and getting the ball to WR's who were open for YAC.
