QB decision

Bro FSU is so delusional acting like they are just gonna replace everyone they lose

They didn't have a single starter who wasn't a junior or senior last season. All 22 and I believe the specialists as well.

I have no idea what every single FBS team looks like but coming into 2023, they were Top 5 or maybe higher in returning production, starts, snaps, etc.

Into 2024, I would guess that will be in the bottom 10%.

Good thing Mike has recruited high school talent so well though so they can just move on from this year where they went all-in (and almost got there, to be fair) and right into a sustainable program. Oh wait....

I hope every big time recruit in America knows that Miami is about to drop 2 mil on their QB1. These loser media and mouth piece types are stuck in the past trying to frame this as a negative. If you had your choice of where to work and you knew one firm would pay you premium and the others wouldn’t where would you apply? I hope when 5* think of the U they think of bands, baby

If we got our QB last night whats the wait to make it go public ?!?! Like cmon we wanna know haha

This ******* guy

OSU doesn’t want to pay, and FSU is retaining enough talent to surround Ward to win the heisman. This is one of the dumbest statements I’ve seen in a while. This guy needs to find a new sport.
Didn't OSU pay $1 mil or so for Quinn Ewers?

I didn’t want a separate thread for this. But can people enlighten me on why Mario is a labeled a “QB Killer”

I went back and look at his time as P5 coach

Herbert (Pre Mario)
2016 (4-8): 8G 1936 yards 19Tds 4int 148.8 Rtg
2017 (7-5): 8G 1983 yards 15tds 5int 167.5 Rtg
Herbert (W/ Mario)
2018 (9-4): 13g 3151 yards 29tds 8int 144.6 rtg
2019 (12-2): 15g 3471 yards 32tds 6int 156.8

Herbert: 3 star recruit. Very good NFL Career

Tyler Shaugh
2020: (4-3 Covid year) 7G 1559 yards 13TDs 6int 160.4 rtg

4 star recruit. Transfered after 2020 and went to Texas Tech for 3 years. Season highs after that were 7td and 1304 yards.

Anthony Brown (pre Mario)
3 seasons and his best season was below
2018: 12g 2121 yards 20tds 9int 134.8 rtg

Anthony Brown (W/ Mario)
2020: Covid year only played 2 games
2021 (10-4): 14G 2989 yards 18TDs 7int 140.1 Rtg

3 stat recruit who had his best season with Mario.

Tyler Van Dyke.
I won’t go into the stats because I don’t feel like typing but he regressed.

So by my count. Mario overchieved and got best season highs in career numbers from 3/4 QBs. Herbert was a 3 star recruit and had on field the success. Herbert had 2 very productive seasons. Shaugh and Brown all had career highs with Mario. Neither elite recruits. They also had plenty of team success. 3-1 on QBs
It comes from the perception that Herbert was the consensus #1 pick, but he didnt take the jump some people thought he might. The really high percentage of screens plays into the Mario held him back narrative.

There isn't a Coach alive in America that would take Will Howard over Cam Ward.

Not even Chris Klieman & Collin Klein would make that move.
Well it appears we are about to find out if a certain coach feels otherwise...

I like how they assume he'd win the heisman at FSU when FSU had pre-season hype this year and Travis wasn't even invited to the big dance plus they are losing all their playmakers

Yes, longtime F$U player and graduating senior JORDAN TRAVIS, with his amazing offensive line, Johnny Wilson, Keon Coleman, Jaheim Bell, and RBs Trey Benson and Lawrance Toafili...

STILL couldn't win the Heisman at F$U...finished FIFTH, and clearly only the Top 4 were competitive...
