Keys to victory tonight? Don’t know anything about Purdue
IMO
1) NO TURNOVERS: we keep turning the ball over (and it's not due to good defense)
2) ASSITS: We need to make the extra pass, in the last to games we we're not swing the ball fast enough to the open man, or we would just not swing it.
3) REBOUND: This game is where we will see how good Brooks rebounding really is, also it needs to be a team effort.
4) DEFENSE: We can't get caught buddy running (like coach L calls it) or lazing off and not close out. And we need to Communicate better.
5) YGMYFT: they're called free throws for a reason, we left 5 points on the board against Stetson and 9 against north Florida.

They have a 7'4 freshman that's shooting roughly 80% from the field. Only plays 17 minutes a game though, so I would guess his conditioning is an issue. Transition buckets would be ideal, but I'm not sure we have the guard depth to run that much.
Purdue fan here. Zach Edey, the 7'4" freshman plays 17 minutes because he's backing up a preseason All-Big 10 center in Trevion Williams. Our game runs through the post, with 3-4 excellent 3-point threats surrounding them at all times. Getting Eric Hunter back for this game is huge, as he's our steadiest, most experience and most important backcourt option. Don't know how much run he'll get, though, as he's been out a month.

Oh boy. Sounds like your strengths play right into our weaknesses! Good luck to you guys tonight

Purdue fan here. The 7'4" freshman, Zach Edey, plays 17 minutes because he's backing up a preseason All-Big 10 center in Trevion Williams. Williams is an excellent passer and dominant rebounder, but has been struggling from the floor so far and is terrible at the FT line. Edey has only been playing basketball for three years, but he moves really well for his size. You can take advantage of both of them if you have bigs that can shoot the 3. Zach's conditioning is not an issue, but sometimes Trevion's is.

Our motion offense is an inside-out approach that runs through the post, with 3-4 excellent 3-pt. shooters around them at all times. Lots of screening, cutting, ball movement, etc. and not much one-on-one or driving it from the perimeter. Sasha Stefanovic is the leading 3-pt. shooter at 56%, but Brandon Newman and Isaiah Thompson are very good from there, as well. We get Eric Hunter back tonight, which is huge as he is our starting point guard and can score at all three levels. Don't know how much run he'll get, though, as he's been out a month. Ethan Morton is an excellent passer, but not yet a big scoring threat. Our 4 position with Aaron Wheeler and Mason Gillis will provide good rebounding and the occasional three, but neither of them will dominate a game offensively. In general, offensive rebounding is a strength.

Defense is 100% man-to-man. We can be susceptible to straight-line drives and top notch P&R execution. We will try to force the ball to one side and keep it there, so your best bet is to initiate as much offense from the top as possible.

Should be a really good matchup. Looking forward to it.

ESPN power index has us as favorite 60-40. Hope that's not a jinx... Purdue at 3-1 definitely ain't Stetson, but if we had Cross and Lykes ready and healthy, we'd be expected to win handily. But no crowd, and other variables mean some luck might be needed, and of course the refs got to cooperate some. Go Canes!

Honestly just strap in and defend. We shouldn’t allow anything to say from their guards. Need womg to continue his play, probably need a bigger scoring output from him,
