Predictions for next year?

VT, LSU, and FSU will all be tough. They shouldn't be, but they will be and will be toss ups. Throw one other under the radar game (including Toledo) and you could have 4 games where we're sweating it out.

This. I actually feel best about the FSU game of those 3. @BC Friday night game has a trap game feel to it. I don't like @GT in November either. I'm always nervous about late season cold weather games.

But I'll go with 10-2 and we get to the ACCCG. I'm worried about 5 games, and I think we go 3-2 in them.

I think we start off a pretty solid 9-0. I think we're better than LSU right now, and getting FSU early, at home, and with a new staff coming off a lousy year should help. @ BC on a Friday seems like a trap game, but it's also coming off a bye week so we should be able to refocus. The two-game stretch that scares me is @GT and @VT. I think we have the talent to roll GT, but I worry about 1) looking ahead to VT, especially if we're undefeated, and 2) that **** HS offense taking precious prep time away.

I'll go with 11-1 with 9-3 being the floor. More than 3 losses = severe underachievement, IMO.

There is no defense on that schedule that will hold us to less than 28 points. We will be a more balanced offense due to the fact the OL will progressively get better, we now have a true FB, we have young TEs who are dynamic, and two stud frosh tailbacks that can take it all the way any time they touch the ball. We will be much better in short yardage and goal line.

On Defense we will have one of the best back 7's in America. The LB's will be better due to one more year of experience and strength and conditioning. The DBs will be ballhawks and take it to another level by scoring more off TO's.
The Front 4 rotation will not be as good as last season but they do not have to be if the offense is more efficient and scores more TD's in the redzone.

Special teams should be a tiny bit better with all the speedy depth we have. There will be a good completion for the Return game. I expect Feagles to improve. Kicking is a question mark though.

Intangibles are there. This team has vocal leaders. This team has experience in big games and big game atmospheres now . This team has something to prove after coming so close to the playoffs. There's only one difficult true road test and it is at the end of the season when the team will be cohesive.

I say an ACC championship is there for the taking. And unlike some people here who will be afraid to see Clemson, I think they are the team Miami wants most. The Canes want revenge. In order to be the best you have to beat the best.

Offense should put up big points to compensate for the paper thin defense. Probably will win coastal and then get squashed like a ****roach (again) by Clemson in the ACCCG.

Think we start 9-0 because I haven't given up on Richt's offensive strategy. He has no excuses now though; he's got his QB and tons of weapons. Defense will struggle and we will have trouble getting consistent pressure with our front 4. We lose @GT after overlooking Va Tech game. Head into Blacksburg and its a winner-take-all for Coastal.

We win that, and lose to Clemson 35-24 in ACCCG.

Bowl game victory brings us 11-2. Kool is on the hot seat for struggling with D-line recruiting, and Diaz is canned.

My prediction for next year is that Zbrod, franchise, and Ibis wings will still be fa**ots. 2/3 will have contracted gonorrhea.

Cant make any realistic prediction until the starting QB is known, a legit signal caller could change everything for this team.

That the staff will regret taking only 1 LB and 1 DE. Wish they would have pushed for Xavier Peters

I’ll go with 10-2. Losses to 2/3 of LSU FSU and Vt.

My bold prediction is we don’t lay an egg against a **** team like Pitt again.

That many posters will continue to have no life and post wasted massages as op has. Too many uncertainties on offense, defense and special teams. Prediction is an exercise in mental *********ion.

10-2.

Loss to Clemson in the ACCCG.

Like others have said, the offense should be the strength of the team this year, especially if they get it figured out at quarterback

Having an actual bye week in 2018 will help. These kids played a crazy number of weeks straight with no break to get their bodies right.

For me this season hinges on the QB position. We should be improved in most areas with the possible exception of the DL, but need far better QB play. We really need Perry, Weldon, or Williams to seize the job and run with it. I appreciate the fact that Rosier got us 10 wins but he is limited in what he can do and we need more out of the position to get to the next level.

11-1. Only regular season loss is to BC.

We will see what happens against Clemson. I don’t think they are the juggernaut a lot of the nut huggers on here think they are.

So is predicting what our future signing classes will look like considering our uncertainties about the recruiting prowess of some of our staff members, as well as predicting what is going on in these HS kids heads as it pertains to UM. But we do that anyways. I mean what else would anything on this board be but speculation when 90% of the time we're talking about things that haven't occurred yet? Solid prediction on your part though.
