Lets see Alabama is the number 1 team in the nation, plays in the toughest and most hyped conference and has won like 4 out of 6 national championships. And yet you blame the coach's because the number 1 offensive line recruit wants to play for arguably the greatest college football coach of all time. And this is the coach's fault....lol

The kid is Cleveland Gary’s nephew. Do you really think we would be having this discussion if we had won 9 or 10 games? That kid should be hand delivered to the U but it sure seems like the bad season caused by MR’s archaic offense and terrible handling of the QB situation drove him away. If that’s not coaching, what is it?

You guys don't learn a **** thing. 10-0 #2 in the country last year and at no point were Campbell and Surtain coming. You want to fall back on the bad close to year? Fine. But those kids were never coming. And as soon as Neal got the hard sell from Bama he wasn't coming either. You want to fall back on the handling of the QB situation? You know everyone's favorite finished the year completing less than 48 percent of his passes against Power 5 competition? What do you think the record would have been if he started 11 games? Exactly the same. So as archaic as Richt's offense is what offense would Perry thrive when he couldn't hit open targets or ducked his head at the first sign of pressure?
 
As AR82 can attest (and I hope he is planting the seed in Hazelnuts and TS's minds), NFL dreams can disappear in an instant. What is left is how the program takes care of you and an education. I think Miami trumps Bama and UGA there.

Someone is smart here . The record has zero to do with it . Bama is Bama . Only Clemson is almost Bama . Everyone else is playing in a different league inclulding UM , UF , FSU , Michigan ect ect.
 
My bigger concern with this class is numbers we need a lot of bodies even if we get TS, JH, KB, Emmagal

Gotta close on Emerson, Mar, 1 LB, 1 CB, 1 QB, a DL in February

Ohio State under Urban is right there with Bama and Clemson. They pretty much get who they want.

It wasn’t that long ago that Clemson was in the same league as Virginia Tech.

Football is a results business. All else is an excuse.

You took my point. It is astonishing to see Ohio State underestimated. They have been loaded for years. Only J.T. Barrett held them back. This season they missed the playoffs despite one loss.

If we played Ohio State the talent gap would be startling. The Buckeyes recently have 1-3 shaky outings per season within the conference. That prompts simplistic fans to doubt and denounce them. But given the stacked roster they are always eligible to toy with name foes like Michigan a few weeks ago or USC and Darnold in last year's Cotton Bowl.
