Prediction: Jameis Winston Will Have Sophmore Slump

Delusional.........
Winston is accurate and his ability to move with in the pocket is elite, he would shine with mediocre WRs, the problem is that FSU is loaded. The WRs they have are all very talented and they have a talented backfield. The scary thing about FSU is that their elite DL talent is entering their third year. Goldman, Edwards and Casher are gonna be scray good. I hope we can somehow pull one out at home next year, hey stranger things have happened but if you really expect them and Winston to have a slump, you are in for a disappointment.

It is VERY easy for a QB to look great when you have a beastly wideout like Benjiman and a savvy veteren like Shaw. I'm not saying that Winston is going to all out flop. I'm saying that his production will drop as a result of losing those guys. He was not challenged that much last year because honestly, there wasn't a clear cut way to just defend them. Yes he is very accurate, but those receivers outside of Greene still have show and prove that there will not be a drop off, which I doubt there won't be because they are not proven.

How did those same WRs and offense look the year before with EJ Manuel, who ended up being drafted in the first round? Painfully obvious that if anything Winston made those two WRs you mentioned better than vice versa. Take the orange and green glasses off and try to be objective. In this case you maybe somewhat correct, probably repeating 40 TDs and 4000 yds in 14 games on 67% and only 10 INTs won't happen, but this kid is still gonna beast next year.

Winston will not have a proven deep threat that he had with Benjiman(who by the way should have at least have been on the Heiman ballot) and he won't have a witty receiver who knows how to find those soft zones. I can't stress enough that WINSTON HAS THE GOODS, but he will finally be challenged in 2014 without those guys. Greene will have a pretty solid year, but name me another receiver who you just know is going to replace those guys? YOU CAN'T. If you want to crown Winston as the guy who made those receivers better, than that is your opinion. My opinion is they would've shined the same way with EJ Manuel this year almost the same way because they were veterans coming into this year. You can look at it that way as well.

Good bet Texas A&M folks would differ on the most dominant receiver.

Evans in a large part made Manziel what he was. Manziel made throw after throw during the season that was outright bad and ill-advised, and would in most situations have been interceptions or at least incompletions. However, Evans bailed him out countless times with his height and athleticism. While Greene did the same for Winston to some degree, Winston was never as reckless and sloppy with the ball as Manziel.

Yea you're right and lets also recognize that his o-line was amazing... If he stayed in the pocket he would never got sack... He only was touched once he left the pocket... Evans also killed it on the outside... That being said Manziel can ball but Ii don't think he's first round talent...

Once again how did those same WRs look THE YEAR BEFORE UNDER A DIFFERENT QB? You state again that Benjamin was this proven WR? 500 yds receiving is proven and established???? Benjamin was on nobodies top WR list going into the season. Kid had talent but was labeled a head case. Under Winston, Benjamin doubled up what he had done the previous year....

He might win four Heisman's.

That **** will never happen, not saying he won't be deserving, just the fact it's so political, and voters won't go for that ****. Plus he's gone after JR year.

He is gone after next year. Don't forget that he was a redshirt freshman this year. The only way that he possibly comes back is if he gets hurt or something. At least that is how I am hoping this thing plays out.

All of his wideouts played with Manuel for at least 2 years... Greene was the only consistent wideout of the bunch... Benjamin and Shaw didn't do much of anything until this year... We can't say they would have done the same with Manuel be cause Shaw played with him for 3 years and Benjamin 2, yet their production wasn't like this year... Watch last years spring game he was on the 3rd team and first play he throws like a 60 yard td to walk on covered by Joyner... The kid makes everyone better... It won't be a slump... I think he'll have another spectacular season...

I remember that td pass....After they dismantled us in Tallyho, I rooted for Jameis the person to succeed. I don't even care that some porsters in here will try and take my canes card for rooting for a seminole, they can take a week off and kiss the ring in the center of my a$$ for all I care.

Only thing that takes Winston out of it is if the civil suit against him gets real legs and unveils that he's guilty. Otherwise he'll be way better, or just as deadly with different talent.

I can guarantee you that Winston won't be found "guilty" in a civil suit.

jameis will not be a good nfl qb. he had amazing weapons. he made alot of bad throws that those guys just caught. greene, benjamin, freeman, shaw, etc are all big time playmakers.

C'mon man. Benjamin was a RS freshman last year. He didn't even start cowboy.

How's this for a bold prediction, Winston will have a drop off in stats, yards, TD's, increased INTs and sideline tantrums.
He'll also have 2 losses.. One being to Miami.

You act like in today's CFB that young skill players cant dominate or perform well from the jump......
Well Coley, Lee, Watkins and Cooper were extremely impressive as true frosh and that is just kids at WR. **** throw in Greene from FSU into that category. But Benjamin, who was much older than everyone from the jump, is now being labeled as a dominant if not the most dominant WR by certain posters but needed til his 3rd year to blow up.......
Or maybe just maybe, Winston made him better........
Maybe you just didnt really see Winston play? The kid is an animal and not a product of his players around him, and its plain as day to see....

I hope you are right on that last part, but just think about this, this was supposed to be the year FSU was gonna be rebuilding as they lost all that talent in last years draft........

Slump? FSU is so loaded with talent (Thanks, Golden) that he can dance around and lob moonballs all day and they will NOT lose an ACC game , guaranteed.

Well that will work out just great as our defense will have a Sophomore, Junior, Senior, and Redshirt Senior slump. Win/Win
